Kalypso Beach Miami — Restaurant in Miami Beach

I must say, this is probably the most underrated place in Miami Beach. I only hope it stays this way, since it’s still a fairly new restaurant.

We went twice—back-to-back nights. The first night for a full meal with dessert, and the second night, even after dining somewhere else, we couldn’t resist coming back just for dessert.

It’s a Greek/Mediterranean fusion spot. The burger is one of the best I’ve ever had, the cheeses are incredible, and the tzatziki is authentic—honestly the best I’ve had on U.S. soil.

The atmosphere is beautiful, warm, and welcoming, and the quality of both the food and service is among the best in Miami. Maybe because it’s in Mid-Beach and not South Beach, it’s still a bit of a hidden gem, but I would expect this restaurant to be packed every night.

Prices are very reasonable for the area. The chef—an Argentinian—does a phenomenal job, and I hope she stays, because the quality and character of this place don’t need to change one bit. I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying the rest of the menu.

And yes—the chocolate soufflés for dessert are exceptional. It’s funny, but no one seems to make soufflés better than the Argentinians (after the French, of course).

So imagine this: a Greek owner, an Argentinian chef trained in Buenos Aires, serving Greek fusion with a Miami Beach flair. Exceptional Wagyu burgers, perfectly grilled skirt steaks, authentic Greek flavors, and one of the best soufflés in the U.S. Add to that the kindest waitstaff you can imagine, and you have the wonderful restaurant Kalypso Beach.

A Must-Visit Gem in North Beach Miami!

Kalypso Bar and Restaurant absolutely blew us away! We started with their rooftop breakfast buffet, and it was everything you could want to kick off the day — delicious, rich, and served with a stunning view of the ocean. The setting is beautiful and elegant, and the vibe is incredibly relaxing.

On our first visit, we tried their burger, which was juicy, flavorful, and hands-down one of the best we’ve ever had. It was so good, we came back the very next day to explore more of the menu — and we’re so glad we did!

We ordered the trio of spreads, the crunchy filo spanakopita, flavorful zucchini croquettes, and tender octopus to start. Everything was bursting with flavor. For mains, the grilled branzino was absolute perfection, and the grouper and chips had that perfect crispy outside and tender, flaky inside.

As a Mediterranean food lover, I can confidently say this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had.

We ended with cocktails — and wow! Their margaritas were top-notch, especially the signature cucumber spicy margarita, which was unique, refreshing, and absolutely delicious.

To top it all off, the service was impeccable. The staff was always around, attentive, informative, and smiling — they truly made sure every moment was a great experience.

From the moment I arrived, this place exceeded all expectations! The hotel staff greeted me with such warmth and professionalism, making check-in a breeze. The room was beautifully decorated, incredibly spacious, and spotless — with stunning views that made me want to never leave. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the comfortable bed to the little touches of luxury throughout the space.

The restaurant is a true gem! The atmosphere is cozy yet elegant, and the food? Absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I had the octopus and lamb chops and Greek salad nd it was simply divine — cooked to perfection. The wine selection is top-notch, and the service was impeccable. I felt like royalty!
