The room was nice. Full kitchen, sitting area with a 40” TV, desk and chair to work from, bathroom has waterfall shower and a bathtub, bedroom closet is big, bedroom is kind of small. Overall, the room is nice. However, there is no access to the balcony from the bedroom.
There were a few things we didn’t like though. First, the fact that it’s an apartment building and the people who bill you aren’t on site, was a unique experience and one I don’t relish going through again. Why? Well 1. They send you a gazillion emails asking you to send copies of not only your ID but your physical credit card online via e-mail. The process is not encrypted. So there could be fraud (though they’re adamant that fraud will not occur). You have to call the billing company (that’s in another city/state) in order to get towels or wash cloths (or any additional services). Don’t hold your breath while waiting to receive what you’ve requested because you’ll die before you actually get it. We asked for face cloths the first day we got here. We’re about ti check out days later and still never received them.
Another unique experience is being charged for EARLY check-in. Never saw that coming but if you check-in at early, there are fees. See below:
Check in: • 12pm $150 • 1pm $100 • 2pm $65 • 3pm No charge • *Any time prior to 12 noon check would incur a charge for 1 additional day. *
Luckily (and the reason they got 3 stars instead of two), the guy at the front desk took our number and called us about thirty minutes after our 1:00 pm check-in. Letting us know the room was available at no extra cost. That was a plus.
Next, there is a BIG difference between Ocean View and Ocean Front. We got the Ocean View room with a balcony and thought it would be like any other ocean view room we’ve got in the past. Yea, not so much. While you can see the ocean from the balcony, it’s not facing the ocean. As such you will never see the sunrise if you’re on the left side of the building (705 was our room #). The balcony faces the dilapidated hotel next door (which is definitely an eyesore). On the right is the ocean. On the left you can see the bay two streets over. This room should have been labeled a partial ocean view to set the correct expectation. The naming convention was fairly misleading. But it was a lesson learned. However, because of it, t we’ll never come back to this hotel—I mean...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I had a confirmed reservation through booking.com, was charged for the room only to get there and they don't see the reservation. Several others in line before us were experiencing the same thing. it was a disaster. This place uses a third party who's responsible for their payments which is another total disaster. They ask for screenshots of your face and give you such a hard time but of course withdrew the funds within seconds with absolutely no problem. After being charged over $500 for this mysteriously missing reservation the third party Heffa tells us the billing dept is closed until the morning so basically screw the fact that we flew to Miami to stay here, you took our money & think we're gonna go pay for a whole other room somewhere else without our refund? NOT!! Contacted booking.com, they cancelled the reservation & the money MUST be refunded back immediately. I must say the front desk associate by the name of Victoriano (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) was PHENOMENAL! He definitely empathized with us & got us in a better room than what we reserved. Keep in mind the hotel staff has nothing to do with this mess of a third party so I felt bad watching customers yell at them. Anywho.....until they start processing their own pymts, we...
Read moreWe decided last minute to book a stay at Churchill Suites to surprise our kids for Spring Break. After we had already paid we started noticing all of the bad reviews on google and were confused because they were pretty decent everywhere else. We went in kinda of skeptical, however we were pleasantly surprised! We will be back again and again! The room was EXACTLY as pictured, it was spotless, and fully stocked with everything you would need for a weeks stay (and more!) The view was prettier than we could ever imagine! I was a little bummed going into it that we didn’t get a full ocean view but having the ocean on one side and the city/bay on the other was sheer perfection and we want the same view next time we come! There is valet which is an additional $20/day but worth every penny. The room comes with beach chairs and umbrellas and they offer food/drink service on the beach. There is a beautiful Publix across the street but also can Instacart and DoorDash so you never have to leave! Both pools were beautiful and private cabana areas at both. There is also a private lit walkway between the hotels and beach which is perfect for nightly strolls or walking your dog. I honestly couldn’t think of anything that they didn’t have that we would have wanted!...
