Miami Beach Parking Lot (P106) — Attraction in Miami Beach

I've been taking advantage of this slightly cooler weather to visit the different beaches in Miami. NorthBeach is amongst one of my favorites to visit. It's a great way to get away from the traffic and party crowds that usually accompany Miami Beach.

My favorite time to go is around 2:30-3pm. The suns still out and you can get a tan, but within an hour or 2 it's already going down, and you've got this tremendous breezy, chilly weather that's quite enjoyable.

Pros: Mon-Fri parking is easily attainable. I can't vouch for the weekends. Sand is pretty clean, and it's a short walk from parking. The crowd tends to be more laid back, and it's not noisy at all. Lifeguard towers galore to keep you safe. Around 3pm

Cons: Some days the water can get a little "seaweedy." A lot of the areas don't have a dedicated shower/bathroom area. So prepare to use the ocean as your toilet. Not too many restaurants/bars within walking distance so you'll have to opt to find...

BETTER BEACH @ 79TH to 84th STREET on COLLINS AVENUE !!! This beach is overcrowded on weekends/holidays. Parking spots/street parking is rare without a fight. 4 minutes further up Collins from 79th to 84th street there's a less crowded beach with multiple, larger car parks that don't smell of urine, have no homeless people hanging around at night, has daily FREE PARKING from 4pm to 7am the next morning, a beachfront park, bbq/picnic/pet/play area, restrooms, showers and a skate park. The renewed beachfront walkway in this area reopened in June 2022 so now you have 6 miles of car-free boardwalk to skate/cycle/walk/run all the way down to Lummus Park in South Beach or instead of spending $$ on South Beach car parks take the 120 or L bus that stops right outside...
