Candy Factory — Local services in Monterey

I’m sure there’s more candy here that’s better quality, but a good amount of the loose candy in the clear tubs in the middle is very very old; I bought a few gummy belts and jawbreakers here a few days ago and they just taste...old. The belts were very dry and almost flavorless, and the jawbreakers were fine until you got to the middle, tasted super disgusting, musty and old smelling, almost like a combination of comet powder and mothballs. As a previous reviewer mentioned the customer service was terrible and I was the only one on the store! I purchased a very small amount of chocolate covered gummy bears that had turned whiteish (indicating they were old) but I bought them anyway. The total came to nearly $4 for 24 chocolate covered gummy bears. After I paid, the cashier just left them on the scale. As I said, very poor customer service. I’ll never go back! I’ll look for another seriously over priced candy store...

We stopped here just on a whim. I did love how they had different sizes of Jawbreakers. I love Jawbreakers and they are so hard to find in my area so I always stock up when I find them.
