Five & Dime General Store — Local services in Monterey

I came to visit Monterey with my family and we enjoy shopping. We came inside this store. I should’ve never went inside of the store!!! In the process of shopping I was being followed by Liz, every step. I was walking and she was right behind me. It made me feel so uncomfortable, I couldn’t even shop in peace. I felt discriminated. There were 6 other people in the store and instead or assisting them she was just right behind me. She made me feel unequivocally uncomfortable. In the store she kept staring at me and walking super close to me she did not keep her 6 feet distance.I had to call my Mother to come in with me, she was in the other store. My Mother told me not to buy anything from a store that discriminates against colored people. I pray Liz learns from this incident to have a heart for all people and not go towards certain race with hostile body language.I will not shop here ever!!!!! I AM VERY...

I'd definitely recommend this place for touristy souvenirs. Not expensive at all, I got a hoodie for $20, everywhere else wanted $35-$65 for a comparable hoodie. Baja shirts were only $15, Baja blankets $13. Tons of little trinkets for a few bucks, ceramic mugs, magnets, anything a tourist...
