Manta Ray Beach Shop — Attraction in Myrtle Beach

This shop is pretty much what you would expect from any little novelty souvenir shop. Has your basics and such. Couple of things...

Bathing suits run two sizes smaller (if that) than your standard sizes. So, if you are bigger than a typical medium, you're more than likely going to be screwed because the biggest size (in suits at least) is an XL and that fits like a medium.

They do not do returns at all. You can exchange BUT you have to do it with the person who rang you out. I think I rang out with the manager, then had to return to return the suit, told me I could only do exchanges for the same price. I went to exchange the suit another day and was told I had to come back the next day because the lady I had wasn't there. Pretty annoying.

Some things I feel are a bit overpriced, even for a tourist spot. Also, the receipt they give you isn't itemized with prices, it just tells you the store name and the total amount you paid.

Stick with other shops. They're cheaper and you have more variety...

Came to this shop tonight with my friend, excited to look at some souvenirs to take home. We were immediately greeted by, what I thought was a nice woman (Sher) She proceeded to follow us around the store and stare at us while on her phone checking security cameras. We were looking at tshirts and she came over to us basically saying we could not unfold the shirts and if we wanted a different size she had them up front? The entire experience was uncomfortable. The young man that was working however was super friendly and kept making jokes with us. I ended up asking him for a size in a tshirt and he said their entire stock was out (so not really sure what the lady was talking about then). I had a few things I wanted to purchase that I did not because of how we were treated. Employee was watching my friend and I like a hawk. She kept following us around and told my friend she couldn’t try on certain colors and kept repeating the price. As we were looking at sweatshirts we saw a cockroach scuttling around on the floor. I sincerely hope there aren’t more in the rest of the store or burrowing through the clothes. She kept making comments to us from the other side of the store. My friend and I were looking at different colors and the stack of sweatshirts was slightly untidy and she came over and yelled at us for messing them up and told us not to do things like that because we were making her job more difficult. Mind you we never touched those specific sweatshirts but my friend fixed them anyways so she would leave.
