GO HERE TO BE TREADED HORRIBLY BY STAFF, THEN ASSAULTED IF YOU SAY SOMETHING. A group of us coming for a mutual friend's wedding went there last Friday night. I paid for a round for everyone, but only after the female bartender in the front room VIOLENTLY grabbed and stretched my shirt to tell me I was next- and I wasn't oblivious, I already knew & was ready. Apparently she just angrily grabs people when she wants to serve them 🤷. I said "whoa, can you let go of my shirt?" and she rolled her eyes and was like "WHAT DO YOU WANT?!".There was a group of very nice early 20s women that had been waiting with us, and I told the bartender that I wanted to buy their entire group drinks (I'm gay btw, and I told the group of girls so they understood that nobody was hitting on them). The bartender asked me if I could afford it (I had just been picked up at the airport and was dressed for travel- although I was wearing an 80s vintage original RoboCop T-shirt I got for like $400 on eBay, but whatever). The bartender then gave me back my phone, and turned to the group of you ladies- essentially refusing to allow me to buy their round. So about 30 minutes later, after I had tipped the band for a shout-out to my friend (a female btw), I went to get another round at that front bar. The main bouncer was sweating uncomfortably, and I talked to him for a minute about how I used to bounce. The bartender was rude again (and I tipped her on the first round in spite of her aggressively loathesome way of being). I said to her CALMLY: "You know, I would have tipped you $100 right now if you had been even borderline respectful" (as me that was on a $44 bill). She said "I don't need the money" and I said "neither do I". I turned around & started walking to my group when all of a sudden the main bouncer jumps on my back, knocks the drinks from hands, and violently tries to push me out the door. It was actually comical. I was a bouncer for years during college in Boston (and at WAYYYY HIGHER END SPOTS). I told him I'd walk out and to let go, and he refused. Not only is that WILDLY illegal, but it's also amateur, because acting that way will often end up in lawsuits. It got worse than that, and I'll think about whether or not it should be...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I were looking for a place that had Bushwackers and decent food. Loser's looked like the winner. Since it was a Tuesday night and already kinda late, I double-checked their hours on their website: Open until 3AM, plain as day. After having the experience in the past where a bar closes their kitchen before they actually close, I scoured the site to see if it had kitchen hours. Being as they didn't, and they actually have "Bar & Grill" in their name (y'know, like Applebee's or Chili's), I figured it meant they actually had the kitchen open later, at least until midnight. It was only 9:30 at that point so I figured we were good. Not so much.
We walked in and our first thought was food. When I inquired with a girl behind the bar, she replied that the kitchen closed at 9PM. NINE!! A PLACE THAT CLAIMS TO BE A BAR AND GRILL THAT IS OPEN UNTIL 3AM.
I wanted to just leave before I got charged for the parking but my girl wanted to at least get her Bushwacker fix. They call theirs a "Bootwacker". This at least redeemed them some as it had a decent taste and was stronger than I expected, leaving me less sad about the $11 price.
Another positive was the friendliness of the staff. That was nice since I was growing increasingly hangry while we were there.
The girlfriend wanted to just hang out there and eat later so we did. I was a bit irritated though when they closed up just before 2AM. I guess with this place hours are just aspirational?
I was really looking forward to trying some of the food but I highly doubt I'll be back. It really bugs me when a business doesn't do what it says it will or when it doesn't bother communicating important things. Had I known they close their kitchen six (or I guess five) hours early, I would never have walked in the door. Maybe that's why they don't reference it on the website. Feels very bait and...
Read moreWent out with the wife on a Thursday night. Our hotel was a 2 min walk to this place. There are many establishments to visit on this street, however, we picked this one because we are from Vegas and have been to the Losers Bar & Grill at MGM in Vegas. By the outside, I expected a dive bar, but didn't expect to find horrible bartenders (only referring to the two in main bar area, not the satellite bar). Got to the main bar and two blonde ladies were in a deep conversation. Normally, I don't mind a conversation ending after a few seconds, but when you look at a customer and just give a head nod and continue to talk about your problems at home, maybe its time you look for job where it doesn't involve customer service and interacting with the public.
The bar staff is the face of the business, it was ironic the bar name was perfect for the bartenders. Drinks were high priced. It cost $10.50 for a Crown and coke, in a little plastic cup. Sorry, you are not Vegas or even downtown Nashville, so you shouldn't try charging high prices with horrible customer service. Luckily, the bartender in the satellite bar on the patio saved face to the bar...just a tad. But, the two bartenders that needed to make customers wait almost 2-3 mins after being acknowledge should quit. If you don't like your job, quit. Don't ruin a business and cause bad reviews because you don't know how to make homelife and work life separate. In addition, there was about 15 people inside the bar, but no one else ordering drinks. The bartenders were 2-3 feet right in front of us, when they got done with their conversation, we didn't get a hello or smile, only asked, "what yall want?" in...
