The new reclining seats are very comfortable. However, be warned this is an assigned seating theater. I normally get to theater well ahead of time to get the seats that we want. I got there Saturday for the 4:20 show at 3:40. Now i found the exact seats i usually get, dead center. Then i began to notice an attendant helping folks find specific seats. Everyone was switching from watching their step and glancing at their tickets while the attendant was informing reluctant patrons they were in the wrong seat. Feeling a bit awkward, I preemptively approached him to ask if I was sitting in the wrong place. He informed me our seats was up toward the top in the corner and i should have realized it since it was on my ticket. Now, I don't think Ive ever been to the movies where i had to sit somewhere way off to the side and that high up. He also informed me that the box office should've let me know as they were supposed to let me know which seats were left to purchase and therefor I should've known i was sitting way up there. Well, I found these seats horrible. Plus a family was assigned to sit next to us and they put their young daughter next to me. I found this very odd since I would've never aloud my daughter to sit in the dark next to a stranger. Plus, the woman in front of us continually texted during the film. Normally, while waiting on a movie to start, if these circumstances would've presented themselves we would've began to look for new seats. But thats no longer possible. Finally, after the last preview, the folks who bought the seats i was originally in finally arrived. If seats are no longer first come first served they will have to charge less for the seats way up in the corner like sports arenas do. I spoke to the manager after the film and he was very understanding as many have had the same complaints. He also lamented how each theater now has only half the seats since the new seats are bigger and isles need to be wider to allow for the reclining. He also observed that half the movie goers usually decide spontaneously, " to make a show." Being next to the mall this is often the case. Many times my family and I get through shopping and opt for a movie before going home. Now, we won't only have to decide if we can get in early enough to have decent seats but we'll have to be concerned if someone has already bought all the good seats earlier in the day. And if an unkempt individual has the assigned seat next to us well just have to get refunds. I hear theres a new luxury theater coming to Bellevue at the new outdoor shopping mall called One Bellevue Place. Hopefully, they will avoid this kind of inconvenience for...
Read moreMost recently I went to Green Hills movie theater to see Saw X. Upon purchasing the ticket, it was this young white lady with purple hair at the concession stands. She was very rude, and non professional. I gave her a $100 bill to pay for my order so she snatched it out of my hands then walked away. Once she came back instead of putting my change in my hand she laid it on the counter, including coins and everything then she walked off to the back and starting texting on her phone and left me right there without giving me none of the items I just paid for. She walked away and stayed in the back. Another person had to help me while I waited for about 4minutes. I asked him was she ok, he said he will check on her. He gave me my order after about 2 minutes after, but as soon as I got my order and walked off the (two sodas, nachos, and a small popcorn). I asked him what was her name, and he acted like he didn’t who I was speaking of bc he was busy assisting another customer. The lady with purple hair came back with a smile on her face smiling and assisted the customer behind me with a big smile on her face and he happened to be white male. I am a black male, who is very respectful to all people and cultures where I agree with them or not. I stayed and noticed their interaction, she smiled she served him promptly and gave him his card and receipts by placing it inside his palms of his hands. This was a very rude and racist act, I paid over $80 to get treat like a second class citizen from a employee of this movie theater. This is racism at its finest in 2023. This situation was so terrible and traumatic I couldn’t enjoy the movie bc I actually wanted to confront the employee about her actions. But when I approached the concession stand again she saw me and walked away on her cell like she was texting someone on the job. As if her cell phones is more important than a paying customer. I am totally disgusted with this theater and I will make this situation known to everyone until this situation is fixed. There is no room for racism not in this world. Not in 2023. I am appalled. Keep in mind this was a Monday night, it wasn’t many customers there. So they cannot excuse the level of professionalism by saying that they was busy. just racist, plain and simple...
Read moreBuyer beware. This Regal is not managed well. I'm giving this theater two stars instead of one because I've had good experiences here before. However, the problems of this theater have definitely overshadowed my positive experiences.
I came here during the week to watch a movie with my fiance. We decided to get lunch food here (big mistake). At the time, the theater only had one person working the register. Only problem was that same person was working the kitchen as well. The manager didn't even bother to help him cook our food. It ended up taking 20-30 minutes to cook (first world problems I know). This wait could have been lessened if they simply had another person working or if the manager helped out.
Went to go see another movie here. This time, there were a group of kids running around and talking loudly during the movie. I went to tell one of the ushers about it. The usher himself was cool about it and went into the theater to check on the problem. However, he just talked to the kids and stood in the corner for a few minutes then left. The kids proceeded to talk and run around again. The usher came back and just stood in the corner, even though the kids were talking and talked even more when he left again. Why didn't he just kick them out?
The straw that broke the camel's back was when my fiance and I went to see the new Jumanji movie. We showed up to our seats probably 10-15 minutes before the movie actually started playing. Perhaps we should have shown up sooner but whatever. When we got to our seats, we noticed that there were already people sitting there. They had tickets for the same seats as well. Turns out that the theater double sold the same seats and did so with other people as well. We purchased our tickets through Fandango, but I still feel like this shouldn't happen. The manager offered us some other seats for other movies but couldn't get us other seats for the movie we bought tickets for since it was sold out.
In turn, we will start going to the AMC instead (it's...
