Overall satisfied with the treatment I received; however, they fell short in communicating the process (that the lab dispenses online results in piecemeal) and managing my expectations (that medical staff makes calls only if positive or after all results are in).
Can read below for details.
Had a 5-star experience from Dr. Chen, Isaiah, and Bre.
I called first to ensure they accepted my insurance and could address my medical issue. Upon arrival, the wait to be seen was less than 10 minutes, and I was finished in ~30 minutes. Facility was clean. Medical team was kind and professional. I felt comfortable asking any questions, and Dr. Chen seemed genuinely concerned about my health and recovery. Unfortunately, she said she would call me after results to say whether or not to take antibiotics. I never received a call and the next steps were frustrating and confusing.
Down to 2 stars: My problems arose after getting my lab results via online portal. Results were negative (which is impossible considering my symptoms). I called CityMD and was transferred to a member of their clinical team, which sounds like intermediary call center reps. Rep #1 (Asidif) said he'd look into my files and call back. He never called back, so three hours later I called again and received info from a 2nd rep that two lab tests were pending results. Online portal should state when additonal lab tests are outstanding. Also, the phone system needs fixing. When reps return from putting you on hold, it mutes you so they can't hear you (via regular phone mic, bluetooth, or speakerphone) although you can hear them. Happened 3x on 3 diff calls.
Up to 3 stars: Called back after a few days and spoke to a Mohammed. He took my concerns seriously, called me back when the phone system muted me, and followed up as promised about my questions and concerns. He assured me someone from clinical/medical team would call me once all of my results were in.
Up to 3.5 stars: I received a call from a young woman who asked if I had any questions and relayed my questions to a medical/clinical professional real-time. She also called Qwest lab to ascertain when the final lab results would be completed. Hate I don't remember her name because she was extremely patient and thorough.
Up to 4 stars: I received a call from a medical professional after all lab results were complete. Not sure if call customary after all results are in or only with positive results, but she thoroughly answered all of questions, urging against the antibiotics (considering my current mitigated symptoms and the amount of time that passed) and recommending diet and over the counter supplements to continue my self-healing. Overall, good experience and...

That being said I do have PTSD from a medical office not affiliated with City MD. The MD office were I was violated is Dr Andrew Fagelman's office and it seems like YELP is trying to help cover up my important alert to community about what happened to me and how my patient rights and body were violated over 7 years ago and the medical community needs to know.
I was a victim of savage violence, my body and patient rights violated Oct 1, 2012 in Manhattan in Soho NYC. I was Dr Vine's patient and she and her partner moved out 2 weeks after I was violated by Dr Fagelman's employee! Dr Fagelman has lots of NYPD patients and the NYPD joined in breaking laws and made me drop charges against my will!
Dr Andrew Fagelman's violent lying employee was not fired and when they both weren't committing perjury he admitted he takes her to drug parties! Does he take his NYPD friends to drug parties?
Dr Fagelman makes me wonder if he even understands the hippocratic oath since he did not fire her and I allege he had full knowledge the NYPD were going to threaten me and he and his employee I allege got patients to lie about and what happened on YELP so I FEEL FEAR EVERY TIME I GO TO A MEDICAL OFFICE.
I HAD TO GET SURGERY TO REPAIR MY EYE! I WAS VIOLATED AND THE MD MOCKED ME AND WHAT HAPPENED IN A DEPOSITION WHERE HE COMMITTED PERJURY AS DID HIS EMPLOYEE. I ALLEGE MD PULLED HARVEY WEINSTEIN LIKE MOVE GETTING MY YELP REVIEW REMOVED AND I HAD TO HIRE A LAWYER TO GET MY YELP REVIEW UP TELLING THE TRUTH WHILE YELP REVIEWS WHICH LIED ABOUT ME...
Read moreExpect at least 3 hour wait times and bring warm clothes because you’ll be standing outside! I got here at 8 AM (when they open) and there was already a line down the block. I heard that some people get there at 6 AM. I went at supposedly one of the “least busy times” according to Google, but I was on line for 3 hours just to get inside the building. It would be nice for the staff to tell the people waiting outside what to expect once they get in (about to check in process and what documents to have out and whatnot.)
That said, the staff is generally pretty nice, although I had one extremely rude nurse one time who was one of the rudest people I’ve ever met. The doctors I’ve had here have been very patient and listened to me. I never felt like I was being rushed or not cared for. There was one person this morning who was talking to each person on line and answering questions for them, so that was very nice. Some of the front desk staff wear masks below the nose and I’ve seen some of them take their masks off casually, which is pretty concerning.
They do COVID-19 rapid testing here but apparently you must have symptoms or have come in contact with someone with COVID-19 of have a valid reason to have the PCR test done. They do antibodies testing here as well.
In general, it’s very easy to get agitated and angry from the long wait time, but at the end of the day the employees have no control over this. There’s just a lot of people who need to get tested so that’s how it has...
