I was doing a return of partial refunds with split payment methods. Cashier told me Returns are done BACK TO THE ORIGINAL FORM of payment but it would do the MERCANDISE card BEFORE it goes back to the credit card, because the gift card was the first method of payment. Doesn't make sense. Who pays with a credit card first and then the gift card? The original receipt was $138.00 of which $100 was on a gift card. I need to return a item that was $100 and the cashier wanted to return everything on the gift card. I not cheating and asking for the full refund to my credit card, just the original $38 back to credit card and the rest back to gift card. Seems really cheeky to me as they are forcing me to pay with my credit card on my other items when I have money sitting on the gift card. Any amount paid by credit card should be refunded first. I requested for a manager but she was the manager and insisted that it should goes back to the gift card first. She was giving me an attitude and was saying she would do me a favor and refund back to my credit card for this time. That really tick me off. If she won't do it then I come back and return everything and repurchase it again with the gift card. No way am I going to pay extra when I have a gift card. I called corporate to ask for their refund policy and they told me that it can go back to the credit card first. Of course I filed a complaint. Cashier/manager clearly doesn't know the policy and was acting almighty. The agent I spoke to told me to ask for PATRICK, the store manager, next time.
This is not the first time that the cashiers wanted to refund to the gift card first. My advice, return everything and repurchase again with the credit to avoid this kind of confrontation. Don't waste your hard earn money when you have money sitting on...
Read moreI have been a customer in this store since they opened, I always frequent it, because I love the prices and brands they sell, very accessible to anyone, I have never had any problems with the employees, they have always been very friendly, today, Sunday, January 21, 2024, I had a very bad experience with an African American man, I don't know what position he has there, maybe it's security or a store employee, I didn't ask his name or his position there, big mistake on my part, I had a lot of clothes with me that I wanted to buy, I decided to put the clothes on some suitcases to make sure which of the clothes I would buy, then an African-American man appeared to me in a very rude manner, told me to remove the clothes on the suitcases and to look for a shopping cart and thus put my clothes inside, I told him to give me a couple of minutes and that I would do it soon, the man got very upset and told me not to disrespect him or else he was going to throw me out of the store. And I responded that I was not disrespecting him, I just asked him to give me a moment and I would go get a shopping cart and put my clothes inside. The guy became more rude to me so I decided to ignore him, he was going shopping and wasn't looking for trouble with anyone. I have never had problems shopping in my life. This is the first time that this has happened to me and an employee very rudely approaches me. I don't think this is the way to treat customers. My big mistake was not investigating the name of the man who had this altercation with me. I hope the manager this store will come to know about incident. I know that almost all the employees are cordial and sometimes there is a bad member of the team, as in all businesses. I have been a customer for over 30 years of TJ Max, Marshalls,...
Read moreTheft!!!!!A very bad experience at Marshall’s today located at Skyview mall Flushing,New York. I was shopping around with my 5 year old daughter who was sitting in the stroller with my bag pressed behind her and my wallet got stolen in a blink of a second while I was right behind it. My daughter noticed the guy reaching out for my wallet but by the time she told me the thief had fled and it was kind of a busy day at Marshall’s. I reached out for the manager immediately and explained him the situation so that he could help me identify the thief but to my despair he said he could not do anything about it and that I had to call 911. Frustrating thing is that they do not even have a phone network inside the store so I could not call anyone right away. Helpless I called 911 walking outside of the store where there was network and called the police who arrived after 30 minutes. When the police arrived the security manager of the store showed up and when I again asked him to check the camera so they could at least identify the thief and put up a picture of him somewhere as a warning his reply was “we are not some kind of grocery store where you put pictures of thief on the wall” to that I questioned him so what are these cctv cameras for? He replied it’s only for shop lifters so I questioned him so you don’t care about your customers safety ? Annoyed he replied “you know what I don’t want to talk to you anymore you can talk to the police “and he just walked away. i am posting this review so that others do not have to go through the same awful experience . Bottom line security are useless at Marshall’s and they do not know how to deal with a...
