TLDR: great food, weird pacing, and OKAY service.
We went a few weeks ago now so they could have already addressed these things but we dined with 6 people on a Friday night and had a very weird experience. We started with cocktails and some meat and cheese but only one and then two cheeses came out before we ordered the rest of our food. Over the course of our meal, all meats and cheeses eventually came out … one even being after we finished everything. When we ordered them, they should have made the pacing clear because this confused us as we thought we’d be eating meat and cheese to start (we were hungry!).
One of our guests didn’t eat seafood so we ordered two steaks and only one came out to start. I asked about it and the server said the kitchen paces them so they don’t cook two at the same time… this made no sense to me and, again, should have been communicated when we ordered.
The table we were sat at was a high top community table but also seemingly wine storage? So one of our guests had to get up not once but TWICE during the meal so a server could grab a bottle of wine. I just thought this was such a terrible guest experience and the server kind of just shrugged it off.
Finally, it was expensive. $120pp. I won’t be going back anytime soon but the food was excellent so hopefully they figure...

We arrived at 5:30pm (no one was in the restaurant) and we asked to sit by the window, but the manager told us it was reserved (no-one sat there until 2 hours later). Not a problem. We just wanted bar seats. So we sit and our server was fab and so kind. Then my husband arrived and took the seat next to us and ordered a drink. We all ordered about 6 drinks within a 2 hour period. Then the manager told us we needed to leave because he wanted the seats for more customers. I hadn’t finished my drink, neither did the friend nor my husband. We all left promptly but it made me uncomfortable I was being kicked out to seat more people. Read moreFirst impressions stick with you. And I had a horrible first impression of this new spot last night. My wife and I found empty seats at the bar, so we sat down. The host/manager? (older male) asked us to get up from our seats to have our bar section wiped down, which we did. But upon getting up, the host unashamedly gave our seats to other patrons and asked us to just wait for another seat. Needless to say, we walked out disappointed with our first experience.
