Charleston T- Shirt Factory is the worst. From ignoring the customers' complaints about the poor quality work to screaming and insulting the customer (me) in front of my mother.
What should have been a nice outing to the mall with my mom it turned ugly when we decided to make an order of two shirts as gifts to my sister from the Charleston T-shirt factory.
In a nutshell; we placed an order which was not done correctly, they added a space in a word and mispelled a name. The mistake isn't my gripe with this comany, its the way they handled it.
They did not wait to put he blame on the customer as soon as they realized there WAS a mistake, and wanted to charge the customer more to fix their incompetence and lack of basic education and grammar.
After the initial unsuccessful phone conversation, where they said, and I quote "these are the shirts and you're gonna take them as they are", I tried calling again to the number they used to contact me but was ignored for the next 2 hours - over 20 phone calls. Reason being, my mother was traveling that afternoon and I wanted her to take the shirts with her (made correctly of course).
We had to go by the mall again to discuss the issue, and here is where the lack of customer service skill are shown (if you thought the weren't dhown already). We arrived and and we are told that, even though we said it wasn't what we ordered, that it was and we were to receive them as they were and deal with it.
They did however, fixed their misspelling and the space they added. But not before screaming in my face and insulting me and my mother in front of the audience of the mall'ers, having a heavy-set female employee disrespect my mother, having another female employee throw her hand up in my face with some gang sign in a threatening manner, and not make things better, another male employee farting in front of us. I think the only one who was respectful, appeared to have some customer service skills, asked us what our concerns were (and seemed like he cared), and wished us a good day at the end, was the young guy with the beard. I didn't catch his name. Then I found out the woman screaming at me was his mother, the owner.
These people should not own a company that have any contact with customers, and the mall should not allow them to continue to conduct business in their mall. That is, of course, if they don't condone that type of treatment to customer in their mall.
The mall management should feel strongly against this type of behavior and take some responsibility, or be proactive to mitigate this. The stores they allow inside their doors are a direct reflection of who they are.
I hope to see this company gone from the mall on...
Read moreNorthwoods Mall has a lot of potential and I see it quickly growing to meet that potential. New retailers are opening and some of my favorites that are there now are include Books a million(bookstore/coffee shop, H&M, Hollister, Belk Burlington Coat Factory, chicfila, Gloria Jeans(custom coffee order shop) Verizon, best buy Att TMobile (all shoe stores) and express. another great benefit to this mall is it has a large and brand new Planet Fitness attached to it that is accessible from the outside and inside so if you want to get your sweat on while you get your swag on it's a good place to go. lol (I should copyright that) I have worked in this mall still sometimes work in this mall as I travel locations but I will tell you if you are easily scared or prejudice to urban cultures you probably would be unhappy with this mall...and suame on you for that. I've given this mall of 4-star rating only for the simple fact that they need to try harder to obtain better retail business. one suggestion I have is increase the quality of kiosk merchandise and they must must must start to regulate their soliciting from these retailers that work in the center hallways. nothing ruins and experience while shopping more than people heckling and Carnival calling out to you to buy their merchandise. for older and geriatric Shoppers they have great anchor locations just added a Burlington Coat Factory and while I'm on the topic for our older Shoppers avoid this mall on Friday and Saturday nights. this mall has a bad rap for Crime but I can assure you I've worked in this mall for a long time and the only things that happen are between people that you would never associate with anyway. no one is getting robbed or looking to hurt you if anything, the issues facing this mall is the lack of high-end business retail. I know they are making an effort that's why I've given them four stars otherwise I would have given them three stars the management here tries very hard to provide a great shopping experience so I will not hold them accountable I think the accountability falls on those that own the stores and the Shoppers themselves this mall is building up quickly and I'm excited to see where it goes do not judge a book by its cover. do not judge a book...
Read moreGood selection of stores. It seemed dark in some places, and I got a weird creepy feeling sometimes. There wasn't a whole lot of light. It would be perfect for Halloween shopping but not great if your a parent keeping an eye out on little kids. I didn't see any Law Enforcement but there was one Security guard. Smelled good near the food court with different cultural oriented food options. There is no longer a Chick-fil-A inside Northwoods Mall. It's been replace by a privately owned Soulfood place. I bought a Coke there and that cost $2.50. The whole food court was pretty expensive. It was busy, especially with teenagers. It's the "cool place" for them to hang out like it was back in the 80's. Many of the stores were pared down on their inventory. I went into the H&M store and every time someone walked out with their H&M stuff, that they had just purchased, the alarm went off and an employee escorted them back to the registers, made them pull everything out of their bag and verified their purchases. I'm not joking, every - single - time. Bath & Body Works had a substantial amount of employees working and I kept getting asked if I needed assistance. I'd move a couple feet and an employee would ask if I need anything. It got annoying after the 3rd employee approached me. To be fair it seems like a common practice in Bath and Body Works stores. The employees where nice and I ended up getting into a conversation with one about how they use hidden doors in their displays to hold extra products. Yes, I know, not a big deal but the display looked cool. Oh, if you have little kids you may want to steer clear of Spencers, the entire back half of the store is dedicated to adult lifestyle toy selections to include stuffed BDSM bears. However, they do have a large selection of t-shirts. I was looking for a specific t-shirt as a gift and the friendly employee I spoke with was very knowledgeable about the shirts they had in stock. All in all it was a decent place and the teens had...
