It about pains me to give such a low rating, because they were great for my first missionary that I sent out. It truly was a wonderful one stop shop for everything needed. However, this summer has been a complete fiasco with missionary mall as I have prepared my second missionary. You know, there is really only so much that you can blame on Covid. They were out of everything. Had I known of the situation and that they really wouldn't be able to sell me what my son needed in the sizes comfortable to him, I would have gone elsewhere. We made their very limited selection work as we live in a rural area and we don’t have unlimited time and easy access to suit shops. My son was then temporarily reassigned to a new mission which required him to get another suit. They only had a light gray suit and the suit identical to the one we already had purchased for him, in stock. That was it! My nephew struggled with a light gray suit that he purchased from missionary mall because it easily stained. So, I chose to purchase the identical suit to what my son already had, because my missionary needed it ASAP before he left for his reassignment and they would certainly be able to alter it to the measurements they already had from a few months previous when we had shopped for everything else. Wrong again! It’s a good thing that I just happened to write the alteration measurements down on my notes in my phone. I asked them what they did if something needed to be replaced and they didn’t have the measurements??? I was told that they would just ask the elder’s companion to take the measurements….WHAT? Anyway, what a farce! I will not be suggesting missionary mall to any of my friends who have sons leaving on missions. It’s sad that their services have declined so severely over the last 2-3 years. I’m hopeful that the owner will read this and reconsider their...
Read moreIt was SO easy to get my son ready for Germany. Andrew helped us get pants, a suit, shoes, shirts, socks and belts. In an hour we had everything, including measurements to tailor the suit and pants. We have used Missionary Mall for 3 previous missionary sons. We have had to use the 2-year guarantee on a few occasions. They replace items quickly with no hassel. I won't go anywhere else.
September 2021 update--Once again I have had to use the 2 year warranty. I am amazed at how willingly and quickly they replace worn items. I can't imagine shopping anywhere else for mission clothes. They have taken great care of 4 sons. One more to go!
May 2025 — Something has obviously changed for the worse. I have been trying to use the two-year warranty for over two months now. I submitted everything online and received an email verifying that they had received my claim and pictures. Then nothing. I’ve made calls to the Orem store and they’ve promised to get right back to me. You can’t find a real customer service number. The reason I pay so much at Missionary Mall when I could save money going elsewhere is because it’s convenient and because of the warranty. My son shoes are worn out completely, pants are ripped and the belt is shredded. I fear he will be home before they even respond to my calls…
May 28, 2025 update:
We walked into the Missionary Mall store in Orem a couple weeks ago and explained our problem. The young man that helped us was very apologetic. He immediately gathered the clothing and shoes that needed to be replaced. He got the mailing address to the mission home for my son, and they shipped them very quickly. They were received only a few days later in Missouri. So Missionary Mall is back on my good list. But I sure hope they get their...
Read moreIt was good, the two year wear guarantee is really good. I bought two suits for $230 a piece and they seemed fine in the store but when I tried them on at home they did not look good. I would recommend you shop here if you know what you're doing and exactly what to look for. I didn't and I was hoping the staff would be able to tell me what to get or look for. The sizes I tried were from a 38 to a 40 and the 40R was a smidge big in the shoulders and short on length of the actual suit with the sleeves being the correct length which didn't make sense. I though they looked decent but people told me they did not look good. I can't return them because the pants have been hemmed and so I have $460 of unusable fabric sitting in my closet. I went to another missionary outfitter and they measured me in 5 different places and had me try on the suit with a white shirt and even shoes to see how it would all look together. I found that this made an important difference. Missionary mall has some good stuff but from my impression the staff aren't as knowledgeable in fitting as they are at other places. They are RM's so they know what will last and can speak from experience so that's a good thing too. I have mixed feelings about my trip there. I spent nearly $2000 total buying stuff and I still didn't have everything I needed. Some colors were unavailable in my size and my size wasn't available on some items I needed. I did get free luggage and good shoes and I love the wear guarantee and the socks. I would just caution anyone who goes there to do their research first and know if an item their can be bought cheaper somewhere else and know what to look for in a suit fit and possibly get tailoring on some items. Some values to be had here...
