My wife and I attended ‘A Christmas Carol’ last evening. It was our first time ever attending this theater. Because the parking garage was overflowing we were delayed a few minutes arriving. The theater manager couldn’t have been more empathetic that we had to wait till the first scene ended to escort us in. She was very kind and polite and compassionate. The performance was by a solo actor for the entire play. While I’m not a theater critic, his performance we felt couldn’t have been more captivating and kept the audience spellbound through the entire performances. Bluver Theater is located in the heart of Philly's theater district, only blocks from Broad Street and the Kimmel Center. Loved the Mural Arts facade which weaves poetry into the half-block long brick canvas. The black-box design offers some cafe tables plus open seating. There is a small space to enjoy refreshments by the entrance. It is close to the subway and there are several paid parking lots nearby.
