I do not recommend this Nail salon. Saturday, October 22 I paid $100.00 for a fill and pedicure. This is the going rate of these services so it’s not the cost. You pay an additional $20 to get gel polish. The reason for paying this absorbent amount for this type of polish is for the quality and the length of time your nail polish will look new. Gel polish is a nail paint that doesn’t chip. Sunday, October 23 my French tip gel polish begin to chip. I was on a plane Monday, October 24 for a business trip. Today was my first opportunity to return to the nail salon. I was willing to pay for a nail polish change and pedicure although it’s their own policy to repair for no charge. A regular nail polish change is $10.00. A gel polish change is $20.00 but today he said I should pay $40.00. He explained that the additional $20.00 charge was for the nail manicure plus $20.00 gel polish color. I said, “I didn’t get a manicure.” I watched Vanessa change the nail polish and that’s it. No cuticles, no buffing, no massage just a polish change. So then he changed the nail polish change to $30.00. Hmmm …. it sounds like another nail salon that has tacked on erroneous “COVID-related” charges to manage the rising business costs due to inflation. Kevin did my pedicure. My pedicure is fine but he wasn’t friendly. I paid another $30.00 for an unfriendly pedicure. The host at the door is always friendly but I think what I’ve observed, ever since COVID, is that many nail salons are increasing their prices without explaining why the charge is more than what is listed on the menu or website. That should be a crime and reported to the Better Business Bureau. If I’m going to pay $100.00 every-time I come to the nail salon I might as well find a spa and resort to get this service with a friendlier atmosphere. At the very least the service will be what it should be in this type environment and the customer will be respected and appreciated. I believe businesses that operate in integrity do what’s in their best interest of their customer. Todays total was $60.00. It was at check-out that I was told if I had not changed the nail polish color and selected to re-do the French tip then it would be no charge for the polish change. Wow -what a great time to provide this explanation. Thank you but no thanks.

Was super excited to try this salon yesterday as I’ve been to many in the area. The staff was not very friendly & I felt super rushed in. Definitely NOT a warm or welcoming salon. My tech was rushing the experience and the salon was not busy whatsoever. She repeatedly threw my hand down in between color and was not gentle or kind. I had asked her to file them round & she did not as well as my nails ended up being different lengths/shapes because she didn’t even take the time to re inspect. Didn’t bother doing my cuticles or any of the prep, she just slapped the dip on and barely filed them. The whole experience was disappointing as I thought this would be my new spot. After reading other reviews the unfriendly atmosphere sounds like a common consensus :/ Super disappointed with this place unfortunately!

This salon is really beautiful and all the nail technicians are extremely talented. There are plenty of chairs and even a nice area with couches in the middle to wait. My favorite part is the HUGE variety of colors to pick from. I always get SNS personally and the variety of colors to choose from does not even come close to amounting to what other nail salons have. Prices are also reasonable too. Great massage chairs. Everything is clean. I've been coming for a year and my nails always last a really long time when I come here. I usually go to Ivy though. Scheduling system could be better, but it's kind of impossible with a nail salon because people are late, don't show up, and the techs need to make money.

I have been going to looks to have my nails done by Tom for several months now. After searching and Trying out every other salon and facing inconsistent service or less then professional service or poor attitudes and even irritable technicians and receptionist. Tom is the sweetest most kindhearted and patient man I’ve ever met. He does flawless work and does it with intent and warmth. I am an artist and work with materials, chemicals, paint and color dyes and grouts, glues ect. I realize I am an especially challenging client to work on with a new challenge every visit to conquer. Tom is always warm and compassionate no matter the nightmare he maybe faced with when begins. He is mindful of my comfort and stresses and always has the wisdom and words to comfort and or several months now. I have brought my son who is 7 for a couple of my visits and no matter my frustration level and the madness of the day. Tom always is caring and assured me what a good boy he is. I am humbled by the grace Tom has even under pressure! Last visit, when we left he gave the tip I had just given to him to my son snd told him merry Christmas and keep being a good boy! I wish I could do something more to return all the warmth he brings to others. He is by far the best quality along with service of anyone in all the years I’ve been having my nails done. Visited Luxe for the first time for a refill and a pedi, and had the most amazing experience! I felt so pampered! The spa is absolutely beautiful. Both nail techs were so friendly and helpful in assisting me in finding the type of color I was looking for. I literally almost fell asleep with the massage that came with the pedi because it was so relaxing! Tiffany was my nail tech and she did a wonderful job on my nails (just how I like them)!

UPDATE 8/21/24 I have to say that my original review still stands, and there are a number of talented and friendly people that work at Luxe! The owner (or manager) when you walk in is wonderful and very welcoming! Tiffany and Van ( nail techs) are talented and very friendly!

This is about my 6th visit to Luxe, but unfortunately, I did not have a pleasurable experience. I requested any one of the ladies to do my nails, because I had one bad experience with allowing one young man to do my nails during a previous visit. He was super rough and would flick my hand in the air when he was ready to paint the next nail or work on the other hand. When he was done, I had lumpy polish.

Today when I walked in, I asked the manager for any one of the ladies to do my refill (which I now request whenever Tiffany is unavailable). I was directed to sit at Rose's table.

Today was probably the second most unfriendly service I've had at Luxe ( besides the young man that I referenced earlier). I wasn't greeted by Rose, but instead just given the nail colors to choose from! I wasn't asked if I wanted gel or a regular acrylic refill. I wasn't asked if I wanted my nails cut (both of these questions are standard at any nail bar or nail salon... Including at Luxe). The entire time she was jabbing the skin down around my cuticle to cause discomfort. And then, the electric nail file was sent onto my actual finger. Throughout the process, I was filled with worry about where the pain was going to come from next. She seemed really annoyed with me every time the nail dryer would cut off while my hands were in it. And when she was done, she simply sent me to the sink and walked away. I had no idea of where the sinks were until I got to the back of the room, because I always get gel refills and pedis.

Today was my first and last time sitting at the last station on the right when I walk in the door. Unfortunately, it taught me that there is more than just the one young man to avoid when going to Luxe to relax and have your nails done!

I'm hoping that the manager can invest in customer service training for the nail techs that need it and maybe teaching the basic understanding that no matter who your customer is- we have other choices to go to and our money has...
