Old Time Photos - Wild Gals Old Time Photos — Attraction in Pigeon Forge

I wish I could leave zero stars but I have to leave one to submit a review. We found them in a coupon book and googled them and thought sure let’s do it. The coupon was for a 2- 8 x 10’s with a paid sitting fee. No where does the coupon say it’s two of the same pose. I showed the coupon to two different people and they both said to give it to them when we viewed our pictures and neither person said the 2 8x10’s was going to be for the same pose. There were 5 of us, we picked the roaring 20s and the getting ready and accessorized was great the photos lacked. I don’t remember our photographers name, she took one picture of each of us by ourselves and then she asked what would you like to do, we were guiding her when I felt like she should have said ok let’s do this and this and then if you want anything special we can do that too. Since she wasn’t going to tell us what to do I said I’d like to do a pic with the two little ones by themselves and then my two older daughters by themselves and then a group picture of all 5 of us. The single individual photos and the one of the two kids was over by themselves piano. The one of my two older daughter’s were on the settee with a tea setting, and she asked us what we should do. I’m paying you, shouldn’t you be guiding us? The group one she took us by the bar with guns and money bags, we wanted to do the I’m guessing the parlor scene where the other photos were done but we weren’t able to. We shrugged it off and said hopefully they are good. We finished our photos and got changed and then it was time to review our photos… the lady showed us the 300-400 packages and I said we have this coupon for two 8x10s with sitting fee purchase and her demeanor changed and she said well it’s for two of the same poses I said the coupon does not state that and she said I’m sorry what pose do you want, I picked out a pose of us as a group and we all hated it but we had to pick something. She said each additional pose if I want any is 40.00. I paid for the ones we picked and left and since we were unhappy we looked at a few places and found…Somewhere in time photos in Gatlinburg and we went there. Sitting fee for 5 people was 35.00 and that included an 8x10 with a mat and each additional photo was 14. It’s ran by two women who have been in business for over 20 yrs in the same location the photo quality was the same the only difference was the price, customer service and the overall experience which was great. Getting Old Time Photos is just our “thing” every place we travel. I can tell you that without a doubt Wild Gals is THE BEST experience we’ve ever had. I say experience because it wasn’t just a rush job of getting old clothes on and taking one or two hurried snapshots. We arrived at our scheduled appointment eager to get started and right away Chelsea and Kelly made us feel very comfortable. We decided what themed clothes we wanted to go with and and they explained the rules and laid out several high quality outfits each for us to choose from. They were very patient with the little kids while helping us all get put together and adjusted and addressed our individual modesty preferences and ensured high standards of hygiene were in place for our safety. When it was time to get our pictures taken by Charles he was very professional and fun, getting the kids to smile or stick a pose. We had several different poses in 3 separate rooms with an assortment of props. He took his time and even made accommodations for special requests. When finished, it didn’t take very long at all until we were sitting with Jennifer going over our selections. I am so impressed with the quality of the pictures. The package we chose included a CD along with the copyright information so we can share these special memories with family for years to come. We are so grateful for this experience and delighted with how we were treated. I will definitely recommend Wild Gals Old Time Photos to ANYONE visiting the area as a must stop destination. 5 years ago we did family photos in Branson mo.. I had high hopes for this place, but! Staff was rude from the git go, yes they were busy yes we arrived 45 minutes early, but we are a family of 7, and from the git go the staff was very rude and short thru the whole process, my daughter and I were thrown in a room to pick thru threw just a few things a lady brought to us... then finally the photo shoot. The photographer got mad because I wasnt holding my fan just right for a single photo I wasn't interested in. I told her It didnt matter how I held it..I was only interested in a family photo not individual... they then switched photographers, took 3 photos of us and when pulled back to pick the photo i wanted, I was told that I should have read the fine print on this being a full photo session...it breaks my heart on the disrespect I received all because I didnt hold a fan the way I was supposed to and let the photographer know how I felt about it! Maybe explaining better. Would have helped but no, we were pushed out the door and treated like garbage! Who does that. Yes it was busy but maybe taking the time to talk and explain instead of pushing people out would have helped. And to add I was told "we made and exceptions for you". Who talks to people that way.. this whole area not just this place has been full of disrespect.. what happen to kindness.. I guess we come from a different world that's only 600 miles away from this place that would never treat...
