I enjoy this store because of some of the staff that work there. There is a very pleasant lady cashier that when I first saw her was organizing the store after Valentine's. She really cares about keeping the store nice and organized, and giving the best customer help and deals she can. She has gone above and beyond the two times I had interactions with her. The manager is overall nice, but depends on her mood. I'm not fond of mood swings so this doesn't go well with me. She was nice enough to do her job and print a receipt I had lost, but needed. She was surprised that she could print a receipt and was not happy at all that I was asking for a print out. Their computer systems for cashiering are super outdated. I know this is not their fault, more of a corporate issue. However, it affects the customer daily at any store. I also have gotten over charged for an item at this store which is why I needed that receipt. There is no Michael's near me so I really have to go out of my way to shop there. Their online shopping needs improvement as well. I recently ordered with them and I'm missing an item. Bottom line: check your receipts and orders. Make sure you are getting everything you bought. I really dislike shopping online with them, but the one nice thing about it is that you can at least know what you ordered; it is saved in your online account (if you have one) and many things are usually in better condition than at the store. I prefer to shop at the store though because you can really see what you're buying, whether it's in good condition, I like seeing people and keeping them employed. Usually the sales are better at the stores, but the quality may not be as good as online. One time the nice lady cashier scanned my items 3 times and (it was a lot) to try and get me the financing help they were offering. The cashier machines also have a cap on the items you can buy in one go so I've had to have my purchases split and lost in their deals because of that. I hope corporate is paying attention. They really need to update their cashiering systems and their app. Target will show all items ordered online, price ordered at, discounts, etc. It also automatically uploads the receipts when you shop at the store. This last time I went I got the help I needed from the manager, but it was visible she was not happy about having to print a receipt and she was very short trying to ask me the date and time and what I had bought that day. I shop a lot at these stores. Some cashiers already remember me. Another younger staff member was very helpful in helping me out as well as guiding me to find the items I was looking for. She also found a way to help me make it as easy as possible to carry my many bags to the car. There's definitely room for improvement. I wish I could give them a 5 because of those two awesome people that work there and deserve recognition... but not all their team excels at their jobs, the cash registers are so outdated, other stores have better deals etc. Overall it's a nice place to shop and they do try to keep it organized; which is nice. Ask for your receipts to be emailed to you that way you have them and can easily access them if something goes wrong...
Read moreI wish I could sue for public humiliation. This person told a stranger I was trying to walk away from help when I asked for it and then she told the customer to tell me to start walking to my help. I will be back I want justice. I want to sue her I want her fired. Please help me in this pain do not let her work there another day. She must do this all the time and this store just lets her do this.
There is an employee that works here I would like an apology from for public humiliation. She asked a customer to tell me an emplyee was ready to help me for what I needed assistance with. This emplyee didn't have to be so mean and hurtful. She also talked about me to the customer that I was walking away. I was just going to the area I asked help in. And she yelled at me not to move. I'm humiliated and in pain over...
Read moreI took two stars off because they have less and less kid related stuff every time i go. When i was a kid there was like 3 or 4 isles with nothing but finger paints, model rockets, coloring books, etc. Now, theres no model rockets at all, and the kid stuff is just conservatively sprawled all over the store. From what i can see this is just a way for them to keep kids in line while shopping with mom. They just dont feel welcoming to children at all like they used to. and that really needs to change. What is the point of us being involved in arts when our kids are just loud lanyards, bored, annoying and constantly stuck...
