2025 Edit You know how helpful a hermit crab would be when you're needing to do algebra? This store's employees have become those hermit crabs. Need help with self check for a discount. No one cares. Trying to figure out the email associated with your rewards account? No one cares.
Michael's is like a maze of craft projects i want to do but I'm completely devoid of talent so i just wander and look at stuff and people who are capable of doing things with all the cool stuff at Michael's.
The employees at this particular Michael's are always really helpful and nice. And when my husband needs some sort of craft thing (art teacher) they usually have it and teachers get discounts with their school IDs. If you're a teacher and you haven't been taking advantage of that you're missing out.
They also sell good candies (all variety of gummies and Lindt chocolates) and umbrellas! I bought the cutest bubble umbrella from their that i had wanted from Hunter and the Michael's one was $15 and had a coupon and the Hunter was $150 and my $15(+coupon) is...
Read moreI went in here to grab some things on 2/11/25 , my 2nd time in the store so I’m not familiar with where things are. The employee Latoya was so helpful. She directed me towards discounted items, she showed me exactly where to get everything on my list. & I heard her greet every customer that entered the building. She saw me struggling with my heavy basket, my purse, and my daughter and her stroller and she asked if she could take the basket while I continued shopping. She also assisted me after I made my purchase. I’m very big on customer service and I can say Latoya made my entire day. I really hope this review gets to the right person because it’s very rare that I go into a business and get wonderful customer service. She was the only worker who spoke or helped or asked did I need anything because it was very obvious that I was lost. I glanced at her name tag quickly so I am hoping I got...
Read moreI keep thinking I'll retire so I can finally enjoy all the different crafts or rather types of art I've created since college and sold with friends ijn the Piedmont Arts Fair for one. I seem to move from project to project so I don't really know how to describe what I do. The past two years I spent trying to dye, an art I was taught by Doug Landrum in the mid-80s and had no idea the reward knowing about 100% wool, dye lots would reap later when women friends learned I could match anything. Unfortunately the last two years I was not using machines I thought I was. I've just tried the new violet which is beautiful but should have retired in 2000 and can't seem to. My place is filled with different things I somehow make into art and often sell for a price that shocks me. My talent has been a Godsend as I planned on my career all my life and never...
