The saving grace for lunch was our server. Otherwise, I'd give 2 stars. The place was packed and there was a wait, which was fine. What wasn't fine was walking up to the host stand and having the 3 hostesses literally stare at me. No greeting, nothing. In fact, I said hi super fast as an auto response when the other person greets you first so that was awkward because even though I said hi first, she didn't say it back. The other 2 hostesses didn't seem interested in helping so I asked how long the wait was for 2 people. She told me 35 mins and took down my number to text me when a table was ready. Luckily, our table was ready probably about 15-20 mins later and when I went back to the host stand, one of the hostesses said something to the other hostess and that hostess then just started walking into the restaurant. No menus, no "follow me," nothing. And the other hostess didnt step in to tell me to follow her. I don't know if this is normal at this place. No one made it clear that she was going to seat me. For all I know, she was heading to do a bathroom check or grab more menus. I hesitated and finally decided to follow the girl. I still wasn't even sure if she was seating me or simply doing something else so I felt very awkward and trailed behind in case I'd been mistaken. She eventually turns around and while she smiled at me very nicely, there was still no verbal confirmation that I was supposed to be following her. Thankfully, she walked to an empty table and I was relieved that I had followed instructions properly. This was entirely too much confusion and pressure for getting seated for lunch! The server was amazing and attentive so he helped turn things around. The food was okay, not amazing, just okay. Their mocktails were delicious though. But yeah, I'm big on customer service and first impressions (I'd never been there before) so having that strange non-verbal encounter with the hostesses left a bad taste in my mouth. No pun intended. They didn't look like they wanted to be there and honestly, even if you don't like your job, it's not asking too much to be greeted. As a former server for 4+ years when I was younger, it saddens me to see the loss of that interaction of being greeted and feeling welcomed. I didn't feel welcomed when I walked in. I felt like I was bothering them. That should never be the case when you're trying to enjoy a nice lunch out with friends. I...
Read moreWent to Cafeteria 15L with a small group For a birthday party last night. The door girl had seemed to not have any knowledge of our group and couldnt find our name in the reservations and did little to nothing to help us find our party, someone from our party came to the front to get us.
Started off with one of there tequila cocktails strait from the menu. It was ABSOLUTELY terrible, waiter asked me if I would like to try something else and they couldn’t possibly get the second one wrong. So I said sure if your going to attempt to try and and serve me a proper drink I will take you up on that.
2nd drink (also strait from there menu of cocktails) was also, absolutely trash. And at the end both drinks were still on my bill.
Food was not bad, I order a prime rib French dip. Prime rib was sub par. I would say the equivalent to diner food. My wife had the chicken sandwich with some type of coleslaw ontop of it, and the coleslaw had a fish taste to it my guess was cross contamination and the chicken was dark and way over cooked.
For the quality I would say this place is definitely overpriced and when I asked to have my bill split up the waiter was not happy about it and STILL automatically charged me 18% for a service charge automatically to my bill.
Reluctantly paid our bill and went on our way, I woke up at about 1:30 AM feeling like I had a flew.. nope, just food poisoning…. I have been puking and running to the bathroom ever since. Not sure if it was the food or the absolutely terrible drinks. But I would not recommend this...
Read moreTo start off with the waiter immediately seemed annoyed and agitated. He was short with us and did not really care about helping us or answering any questions. Then the food was just terrible. My daughter got chicken strips that were so hard that They were difficult cut and almost completely inedible. I ordered a salad that came so drenched in dressing that it was already wilting. My friends got chicken and waffles, where the chicken there, too, was tough & hard to eat. The waffles were cold and not at all fresh. The spinach artichoke dip was tasteless and the chips were stale. The watermelon & tomato salad was grainy. The truffle tater tot's could barely taste any truffle. The waiter did not come to check on us even one time. We had to find someone to help us if we need anything. When he brought my friends drink, he almost threw it on him He slammed the glass down, so hard and sped away. We were going to stay and get dessert but after that meal, we decided it wasn't worth it. As we were leaving, we noticed groups of wait staff just standing around chatting. No one seemed to care about doing their jobs or being polite. As I was leaving, I told the woman at the front desk that it was the worst waiter I've ever had, and she just smiled at me. The entire restaurant was empty, except for a couple of groups of people, so there was no reason to not have decent service, especially with the amount of wait staff they had just standing around doing nothing. I don't know how this restaurant gets good...
