I'm so disappointed in my experience with Mureta and Co. As part of their Canada Day sale, we ordered a tennis bracelet, earrings, and it was supposed to come with a free upgrade (potentially worth thousands according to them). The earrings were already in stock when I ordered, but the bracelet was being made to order. After about 6-7 weeks, the items still had not shipped, and I saw that the items were significantly cheaper online than they were when I placed the order. I emailed customer service asking if they could honor the current pricing, to which they replied that the best they could do would be to give me store credit for the difference in pricing for the earrings only. That seemed reasonable to me, and I accepted that offer. The items finally shipped after about 8 weeks, and when I received the package, there were no earrings, no upgrade, and the bracelet arrived in a broken box. I checked my Shopify account and saw that the store had cancelled the earrings, and instead of the difference in price issued me $720 of store credit. I called when I received the package to say how frustrated I was having waited for so long to not receive an item that was in stock 2 months ago, for the quality of what I received, and for the missing items. Instead of being met with any sort of apology from the store about the mishaps on their end, I was given a huge attitude from the representative. She told me she would no longer be honoring the difference in price since the price of the earrings has now increased from our last talk, but she would "do me the favor" of reordering the items she mistakenly cancelled and not charging me a higher price for them because of tariffs (that were seemingly implemented in the last week). It's worth noting that these earrings were no longer in stock (and presumably sold to someone else) so I would have to wait for them to be ordered again. I had to multiple times stop the conversation to voice how inappropriate the tone of the person was, especially for an error on the part of the store. We ended the call finally agreeing to reorder the earrings and ship them out the following week, send the upgrade I was promised with it, and issue the refund for the difference in price that I was supposed to originally receive. The next afternoon I received a voicemail from the owner of the store, saying he "does not tolerate disrespect" and they are cancelling my order and to never order from them again. I was stunned. I called him back to discuss what had happened, but it was clear he would not answer. I texted him, assuming he had heard misinformation from his representative, because anyone listening to that call would have been appalled with how she was speaking to me. Instead he threatened me that if I "continued to push this he would not be happy." I have truly never been treated like this as a customer, especially from the OWNER of an establishment, and definitely not from somewhere I spent nearly $3K with. From reading the other reviews, it seems as though if you have any sort of issue you are at risk of being fired as a customer, having videos berating you online, or just overall being treated terribly. Would spend your money elsewhere on a place that actually values their customers.

Overall, we had a good experience with Mureta and Co with a few bumps in the road. We ordered a custom lab diamond engagement ring from Mureta and Co in July modeled on a vintage piece from another jeweler. We were quoted 4-6 weeks for delivery and paid in full up front. As always, Mureta's pricing was very competitive. We received a call ~2 weeks later that our ring was ready. When we saw the ring, there were several major details that were off from what was requested (metal color and shape of the center stone). We asked to have it remade according to what was originally requested, and they agreed. 4 weeks went by and we followed up several times with them, only to find that the process of re-doing the ring had not been started. However, when we talked with the owner he apologized profusely and had a long conversation with my fiance to rectify the situation. They produced a new ring ~3 weeks after that conversation. The redone ring was very close to the model we requested with only some minor changes. In the end, we were very happy with the quality of the ring produced. I suspect the initial issues we had were due to growing pains in the expansion of the business (they went viral on TikTok last year) rather than a lack of care of craftsmanship. We also found that we had a much better experience dealing directly with the owner. We would definitely buy from Mureta and Co again and we're looking forward to seeing their new storefront open up on Fillmore!

I ordered a pair of lab grown diamond earrings on November 23rd, 2024. I was sent the incorrect earrings on December 20th, 2024, after waiting almost a month. No problem, I emailed the company and they (Preeti) said once I return the earrings, they would sent out the new pair. Perfect! They also let me know that their shop would be closed over the holidays, but to still mail them back and they would send out the correct pair once they reopened on January 10th, 2025. Again, no problem. My return went through and when they reopened, I emailed them just to see when I could expect the exchanged earrings, as I had a trip coming up and had ordered in advance to avoid this happening. I received no email back (yes I contacted to correct support email address), so I contacted them again at the end of the week and was told (almost immediately) by the owner, John Quillian, that some employees were sick and they were still processing orders but would have my order out ASAP. I went on their tiktok page and found out they were doing another sale on lab diamonds and had also done an estate jewelry sale. Multiple posts, almost daily on TikTok. If you are backed up on orders, why continue having sales if you cannot keep up with the orders? Now, I’ve been waiting 2 months for a pair of earrings that I purchased in November of last year! I emailed them to cancel the order the next week and received no communication back but did get a refund confirmation almost immediately, felt quite rude. VERY poor customer service, which is a shame because their product appears to be good quality. I would have loved to continue buying from Mureta and Co but after this, I don’t...

This was my first purchase with Mureta, however I have over 20 pieces I’ve curated in my collection. Shipping was fast, email communication was great. The packaging and box were beautiful. However, the graduated necklace is way to flexible and the setting itself seems very thin. The sides turn constantly and the only part that doesn’t turn are the larger stones at the center. This was just with me trying it on as it came yesterday. The actual stones are beautiful, great color, the matching is perfection, and wonderful sparkle. Ultimately the setting I think is metal light. It twists and turns, it’s actually hard to put on and clasp because it moves so much and when it lays it’s actually almost like little hills and valleys of curves because there’s just too much flexibility it doesn’t hang straight. Then if you are looking to add it as a layering piece with other necklaces it moves non stop where even the largest graduated section will rotate around and land on the collar bone as you where it (now mind you this was about 15 mins) as I was trying to see if it was a keep or return because of the setting concerns. Ultimately I think I’ve landed on return because even though the stones are stunning. I don’t think the setting will hold up and I think the twisting would ultimately drive me crazy. I want to see the sparkle and it’s atypical for graduated necklaces much less three prong settings to flip. Ultimately, I think that’s the quality. Maybe I’ll try something else as I hear great things from this company online but this piece didnt live up to my...
