This beautiful and magical in my view Yoda fountain is the setting for my oft imagined and of course unwritten children's book entitled The Lyon St Lions, in which all the stone creatures in the neighborhood wake up one night while all good children are sleeping and gracefully if a little creakily make their way to the Yoda fountain. The ducks and swans make their way up from the Palace of Fine Arts and the geese fly over from Lake Merritt. The coyotes howl in the hills and the owls and bats fly in from Mountain Lake.
