The park is virtually an extension of City Market. Get yourself a coffee and sit on one of the shaded benches in the park. Sit back and start watching the people. If you're with one or more you can do the guessing game, by guessing where people are from. It's also a great place for kids, plus it has public bathrooms. As to cleanliness it's a hit or miss (literally it appears) on whether they have just been cleaned or not. We heard it's also a popular hang out for local homeless, but we didn't see any, at least not during the day. You can't miss the park when you visit City Market. The only thing missing is a good busker! It's a nice park, really nice. There's a ton of restaurants real close and public parking in a parking deck on site for convenience. Walked all the way up here from Forsyth Park on a warm day because we read so many good reviews about the splash pad fountains for kids to run through & life size chess to play. The square was busy, and it was fun to watch the skateboarders for a bit, but the splash fountains were not on & the chess was nowhere to be seen. We rested with a snack & turned right back around- my kids had way more fun in the shady...
