What I liked most about my visit was the manners of the young man working behind the counter that day. I found them online and went in looking for Scotch Bonnet peppers for a Haitian dish. Coming from SOFLO, I was completely shocked to find that the peppers they did carry were frozen and 3 times as expensive as I would have paid at home for that same amount. You can't use a debit card for purchases under $10 so I had to buy other things that were too expensive in order to use my card. I discovered quickly as I looked around that even though they advertise Carribean products, if you don't mean fish then you are out of luck. They didn't have cloves or olive oil. Those are staples in Carribean foods. This store is much more like an African Market. When I got home and used the expensive peppers I was very disappointed. They were not spicy at all. I asked for my receipt, looked at the item price, and asked them to remove the item and give me a refund and they refused. I had not left the store, I was at the register and they refused to take the item and issue a refund. Horrible business, terrible customer service.
