A freak accident led me to one of the best medical experiences of my life. I had stepped into a barrel cactus, yes, a cactus and after an initial visit to urgent care, I was referred to Desert Orthopedics, where I met Dr. Mira Pandya. From the moment I met her, Dr. Pandya put my mind at ease. I was nervous and honestly didn’t think I needed surgery, but she immediately recognized what needed to be done. She even took a photo of what was embedded in my foot, and it turned out to be much larger and more serious than anyone had imagined. She was absolutely right, I needed that surgery. Professionally, Dr. Pandya is at the very top of her game. She’s not only incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, but also warm, compassionate, and completely reassuring. She made what could have been a terrifying experience into something that felt safe and even beautiful in a strange way. Speaking of beautiful, her stitches were like artwork. I’m not exaggerating when I say they reminded me of my grandmother’s sewing: delicate, precise, and filled with care. The incisions healed beautifully, and I was genuinely blown away by the attention to detail. Doctors get into this profession for many reasons, some for the science, some to help people. I didn’t ask Dr. Pandya her reason, but I can tell you that she made a difference in my life. She helped ease my fears, guided me through recovery, and gave me back confidence in a vulnerable moment. Her bedside manner is unmatched, so warm, thoughtful, and sincere. And believe it or not, I’m actually going to miss seeing her (yes, I said it—laugh out loud!). Thank you, Dr. Pandya. You are truly a hero in my eyes.

Dr walker shouldn’t be a doctor legally. He didn’t even thoroughly look at MRI to figure out exactly where my injuries are instead he just said I’m too flexible and have carpal tunnel… he indicated oh I’m not going to go in-depth of what the MRI says. This is what I think. when I googled the meanings of those specified injuries, here are a few that indicate no carpal tunnel. You’re better off not going to waste your time to see him he When I started asking him questions, he said I’m being too aggressive. When I told him it’s my job to ask questions and figure out why you’re coming up with such conclusion.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars for Dr. Pandya and the staff at Desert Orthopedics Center. I am exactly one year out from rupturing my Achilles that required surgery. It was a month before my wedding and I was distraught from the injury. From the moment I walked in and met with Dr. Pandya everything has been the smoothest ride imaginable. If anyone is reading this with a new injury, know everything will be okay. My greatest advice is don’t make the mistake of not going to this office. They were truly one of the biggest blessings on my road to recovery and I can’t thank them enough!

I have been a patient of Desert Orthopedics Center for the last three years. If it were possible to give ZERO stars to this business I would.

OK, I worked up a Treatmet Plan with my Doctor and the Treatment Plan was to put surgery off for as long as possible by getting steroid shots in my shoulder. This Treatment Plan went on for two years with the only difference being that the shots were administered by an Office Assistant after a bit. I went on for two years like this.

The change occurred last year when I came in for an appointment and was presented with this Prationer who stated that I needed IMMEDIATE SURGERY. It was obvious to me that she hadn't even read the Treatment Plan. I reminded her of the Treatment Plan and demanded my shot.

So, the doctor came in to give the shot and chastised me about being "nice" to his staff. This surprised me and I told him so. Obviously, the Practioner had something to say to the Doctor about our interaction. She left out the part about not even reading the Treament Plan.

This treatment angered me and I wrote a Google Review about it. This didn't make the Doctor happy and he spoke with me about it and reminded me of my ability to continue the Treatment Plan. I thanked the Doctor and began increasing his Google ranking by a star every time I had a good experience in the office. After several months, I got Desert Orthopedic Center back up to five stars.

The Doctor's staff never got the memo about Kiloh being able to continue the Treatment Plan and raising their Google Ranking back up to five stars.

Last month, I went in for my shot in the shoulder and was told that I couldn't see the Doctor until I paid the "past due" balance of the previous visit. This information was delivered to me from a women who identified herself as the Office Manager. And it was obvious to me that she derived pleasure from denying me my Treatment.

This "Office Manager", she looked "butchy" like she played for the other team. She had horrible brown curly hair that was tightly curled and looked like a huge anvil perched on her head. So, I didn’t get my shoulder shot that day.

It was obvious to me that this "Office Manager" was "friends" with this Practioner whom I am sure was chastised for not reading the Treatment Plan. She, obviously, saw her chance to strike and she did by denying me the treatment that I needed.

So, I emailed the Doctor and a few days later, got a letter that the Practice was terminating my treatment. So now, I am starting Treatment with a new Doctor when I should be concluding a treatment with a, much needed, surgery. Obviously, the Doctor could care less about what his staff is up to. I am posting this as a Public Service Announcement.

If you look at my reviews, you'll see that I am listed as a "Community Reviewer" or something. That means that Google has identified me as somebody who has posted MANY...

Super nice staff and office. Very quick and efficient check in process. Very nice comfortable office. I had a conversation with the surgeon and it was intellectually disappointing. I can’t let it go and have to mention it. This is a summary of the conversation as I recall it. I asked the surgeon about a therapy today. I lost confidence in him when he told me any response to the therapy I asked about was a placebo response. He stated medical journals support his claim but did not offer any authors or papers. Medical journals are industry owned and are not patient centered. There are lots of examples that support my claim, furthermore any doctor that try's to use this, “the medical journal line” on you without offering the published works for examination are not to be listened too. The therapy has been shown to regrow soft tissue and ligaments in a large group of participants across the globe. Either the Surgeon was not informed or specifically wanted to mislead me. From what I have read and from first hand accounts the therapy has been proven to regenerate and repair soft tissue, ligaments and repair skin issues. He made another comment that blew me away and made no sense, ( i am paraphrasing) I gave an example of the therapy working on professional athletes and his response to this was, they have better genes. This was a very disappointing experience. From a more global view you can look at it like this, they guy who makes money cutting into people doesn't want a therapy that will regrow the ligaments with an injection, but it is ok for the top executives or pro athlete. Imagine recovering from a knee injury with two months of injections and not a miserable 100k surgery. I imagine there will be considerable pushback from my surgeon and this will probably cost me but this was my experience. Doctors need to be held accountable for the manner in which they interact with patients. Lose the ego and increase the care and outcomes...
