Unfortunately, I have not had good experiences with this store. While it has all the great products one would expect at a Hallmark store the young ladies working there clearly want to be somewhere else. I have shopped at this store at least a dozen times over the past year as I work very near to them and I have never had friendly service from any of the associates. I once asked about a certain type of event card and despite no one else being in the store the young lady described where I could find it rather than showing me. I found this very surprising and a bit irritating. The "last straw" was a recent visit to the same store by my wife on Sunday 10/22. I dropped her off to get a card while I waited in the car. Upon her return to the car the first thing she said to me was what a rude attitude the associate had. My wife said the associate barely spoke to her which is exactly the kind of service I have received. I never mentioned to my wife about my experiences so this pretty much confirmed this is the way they choose to service their customers. I can assure you that if I can purchase what I need from some other retail vendor rather than from Barry's Hallmark I will. I have a choice as to where I spend my money and I'd like to spend it at a place that appreciates my business. They...
Read moreWe walked in and greeted the woman working. Yes she answered a few questions but she clearly wasn't in a custom service mood. We bought a Willow Tree figurine that she pointed out had broken and glued. I asked what discount amount applied and the answer was none. We bought Golden Girls slippers that say common phrases from the show. They didn't speak when I pushed them. I brought two pairs to checkout and the cashier agreed they were broken. I asked what discount amount applied and the answer was none. Our last purchase was a name bracelet (not expensive) it broke the day after purchase.
This was a disappointing experience and the store clearly doesn't operate using positive customer service experience as a top goal.

Read moreMy wife and I visited this store last Sunday, we were the only customers in the store while we were there. We drove from a couple towns over specifically for this visit. There were two girls behind the counter deeply engrossed in personal conversation, far to busy to greet us. Both of us walked directly past them at the counter 3 times while obviously looking for something specific. They completely ignored us still. So engrossed in whatever basic nonsense they were discussing to even glance in our direction. Finally after wandering the store far then minutes aimlessly, we interrupted them with our question. Shopping here was an obnoxious experience,...
