My husband and I went to the watches department and I have never felt so disappointed. Looks are deceiving, my husband has tattoos and not one sale person decided to help us until we asked to get help. My husband wanted to get the perfect watch for my father in law and the sales person looked like she didn't really want to help us at first. Showed us a few watches, my husband told her he wanted to keep looking, she looked annoyed, her face expression said it all. I hope I am wrong, but we kept looking she didn't ask okay if you need anything let me know. She decided to help someone else. We kept making eye contact to get help again and nothing. A vendor showed up, this young girl was rude I wanted to just scream. I asked can she help us, she said she couldn't she was just a vendor and couldn't do anything. She couldn't even ask the sales lady to help us. SMH. After a while again, we asked the same lady if we can see another set of watches, I told my husband OMG these people look the book by its cover, they judge us and assume we cannot afford things. My husband told me, he was use to people doing that to him; but I was different because I never felt so discriminated because of looks. But anyways, after the young vendor with the short curly hair told us she couldn't help us, she was making nice conversations with other people, while with us she ignored us and made a I don't want to help you face. We ended buying the watch!!! To show them that they judged us wrong. So Macy's I ask you to please tell all your employees to not judge people because their tatted and look Hispanic.I use to work in retail before and never did I do this.    Read moreI just left your Torrance Macys location and had an unfortunate experience with your manager Evelyn. I came to return a Christmas gift that did not fit and the associate was not able to assist with the return so I requested the assistance of a manager. Upon manager request Evelyn came, with an attitude, to explain why we are unable to exchange at the moment. With frustration, I mentioned that it possibly is a racial issue as to why the return would not be accepted. Evelyn, with an attitude said âit has nothing to do with being racist, you just didnât bring the correct receiptâ. I mentioned that it was inappropriate for her to respond in that manner- essentially escalating a situation that did not need to be escalated- her response was âthanks for telling me how to do my jobâ. I unfortunately will not be returning to this Macys because that was an unpleasant experience. I also will be submitting a formal complaint via web (as well as mail) to express my disdain with this experience. This store will also no longer be recommended and I will warn other people of color with the way they are treated at Macys locations. I recommend cultural sensitivity or biased based classes for your staff members to ensure situations like this do not happen again. I hate that I have to write out this email (and go to a further Macys) but I will not spend my hard-earned money at an establishment with racist beliefs.

When I walked in... It made me smile and I felt happy.
The store was well stocked and clean.
I love a store that is full of merchandise and is not scattered all over the place.
I found two beautiful women's dresses for reasonable prices.
As I was browsing around, the sales associate greeted me and asked if I was finding everything okay. In the meantime while shopping, I heard a lady communicating with the staff, asking them to surprise her with the upkeep in their department.
(I didn't know at that time that she was the Head Manager of this store.)
When I was checking out, the young girl Alexis assisted me. She was friendly and helpful. The service that I was given out of a scale 1-10 added up to a 10.
I told her how satisfied I was with the condition and presence of the store layout.
I would have loved to have Shared this Good news with the store manager.
The store manager is doing an Excellent job at this location. The store was impeccable!!
The store was ready for a televised commercial đ.
