Upon check-in, the lady mentioned that she was new and did not know many details about the process. She kept asking the other staff member questions, who appeared to be bothered by her inquiries. I booked TWO rooms and was not told until we arrived that they would be in different buildings. We tried to even upgrade a room, but they said they were booked; however, there was a ton of parking for that buiding open and we only heard one other guest. We headed back out to the parking area to park in the back and the parking lot had several craters in it. The stairs leading up to the door were wet and slippery. The hallway smelled terribly of mold/mildew. The room itself was pretty good. The bathroom jacuzzi tub is NOT worth the extra money and the shower was so small that we kept hitting the door when washing. The jacuzzi tub was disappointing; one of the jets was inoperative, the drainage system was ineffective, and we had to use a utensil to prop it open during our single attempt to use it. Additionally, the water temperature in the bathroom was consistently lukewarm. Despite taking showers at different times, we never experienced hot water. There are absolutely NO hooks to hang towels or damp clothes on in the bathroom or bedrooms. There were hardly any outlets available to charge our devices, and the TV volume remained too low even after we tried turning it up to hear better. It also lost its signal several times throughout our time in the room. The outdoor pool was nice and clean. No bathroom was located in the area, however. The other room our party stayed in was located in the side building, where the hallways and stairs are in desperate need of a facelift. The room in the side building was actually better and had a decent-sized shower. Breakfastâthey have a cafe that sells items that tasted terrible and smelled worse. Regardless, the prices were exorbitant, and the selection was severely restricted. As soon as we entered our room, the front desk called to ask about the show they offer for an additional $67 bucks per person. I told them I would let them know, seeing how we were told we had two days to decide and to choose our menu options. They called each day anyways. They pushed the show. The chicken served at the show was overcooked and had an awful taste. The chicken was from a bag of frozen chicken breasts and had been overboiled. They did allow me to switch it out for the beef, which was better but again not worth the money. The drinks cost $15 each, a price that is not revealed until the bill arrives, and soda costs $4 per glass, which is not included in the overall price. The show was "cute" but not anything like what we were expecting. We valued the show more than the food. The time between getting drinks and the show felt long. While we were out, it was very evident that someone removed the cover and the tarp from one of our cars to take a look inside. It is an open car. When we asked the front desk if they could take a look at the cameras, we were informed there were none in the parking lots. The staff did not seem concerned that our personal property was at risk and dismissed our concerns completely. Overall, we were not happy with our stay, and we do not recommend Tiki Resort. The resort has a lot of potential, but they are not realizing it or putting enough effort into the location. After reading all these reviews, I can agree that this is not a...
Read moreI am writing this in frustration on how disappointed I am in my recent hotel stay. The hotel room, in which I paid $200 a night, was filthy, the coffee pot did not work, the outlet hanging off of the wall. We found a pair of sunglasses that were definitely jot ours on the side of the fridge. I went to the front desk to notify staff of the coffee pot and outlet. When we came back to the room layer in the day, the outlet was spackled crooked and the coffee pot still did not work. I called down to the front desk to about breakfast for that morning (Tuesday morning) and the only response I got was âNOPEâ. Nothing else. We went to the soda machine located on the second floor. I put my change in, nothing came out, no return of. Only. My husband then tried using a credit card. Again, nothing came out. We asked an employee for assistance and he came back with a woman who did not introduce herself. She looked at the soda machine and asked if we got our money back and we informed her that we did not. She also told us it was CARD ONLY. It was not posted anywhere that it was CARD ONLY. She said she would have to call the company, and left. My husband, 4 year old and I sat there for almost 5 minutes before heading to the front desk to see where that employee went. My husband went to the front desk agar who immediately said that she has no control over the machine, and âwhat would you like me to do about itâ. My husband asked for a manager. Turns out, the woman who came to look at the soda machine was the manager. So now weâre talking to the managerâŚwe expressed our frustrations, she stress her frustrations. We are still waiting to get reimbursed $5 in which that was never even offered! We were not offered anything to make up for the filth, broken coffee pot, dangerous condition of the outlet hanging off, or the $5 lost in the soda machine. When brought up to the manager about the NOPE response over the breakfast inquiry, we were told that it is stated multiple places throughout the website. I went through the website, itâs not stated anywhere. And I took screenshots to prove it. The walls are filthy, staff is not friendly, there were never any towels available for the indoor pool This is the first family vacation my family has taken in a very long time, and honestly, 100% shouldâve booked somewhere else. I will make sure that all my friends, family, colleagues, stranger in the street knows how much of a disappointment this...
Read moreLOOKS NOTHING AS ADVERTISED. Before booking, be aware that the property resembles a cheap motel. It is NOT a resort. It is dirty and outdated. There was hair in the shower and in the sheets. Everything was disgusting, we had to clean the room ourselves. The towels were also crusty and had an odor. The entire place has an odor. Not to mention you can only fit on the âbalconyâ if you are doing the electric slide. It canât even fit a chair on it. There is one single fireplace that is crowded by shady locals who come in off the street. I saw several families disappointed when they couldnât sit by the fire due to this. There is NO room service, the bar only has drinks and opens at 3pm. THERE IS NO GRILL, YOU CANNOT GET FOOD AT ALL AT THE BAR. The breakfast cafe is NOT complimentary. Basically, you have to pay to eat at a diner everyday for all meals or bring your own food. I saw several people asking about the grill at the bar only to be told there is none. When they say grill, I think they are referring to the little grills erect across the property to cook your own food. This is what I mean by deceitful! The dinner menu is only a few options and only available if you see the Polynesian dinner show. The Polynesian dinner show is not cheap and I highly recommend looking up the Tiki Resort Polynesian show on YouTube before you go see it, I wonât comment further on that. The pool is an ice bath. I have a pool at home that is not heated, so I am used to a cold pool, but this is literal ice cubes! There is also no hot tub, that is a kiddie pool in the photos. The indoor pool is not clean and definitely warmer than the outdoor pool, but still chilly. We left our trip early and will not be returning. There are way nicer places nearby that looked way cleaner. Iâm honestly upset about the deceitful photos and overall presentation of the place. We literally brought fancy dresses and shoes! Itâs a glorified camp ground. Just wanted to make everyone aware before booking! And if you do decide to stay here, ask for a room OVERLOOKING THE POOL! Those are as best as it will get. I am giving 2 stars as the location is excellent. It is located right near Lake George, the town, and...
