My experience at this store is one of the most disgusting customer service I have ever encountered. I went to the store on March 27 in the evening and we were looking for shoe and my mom asked the person upstair if they carry bigger shoe size in store and the lady was nasty.However, we still went ahead and made our purchase. However, we return on March 30 about 10:15 a.m. when we got there I was shopping on the lower level and my mom was shopping on the upper level. My son with ASD was running around because he has difficulties stay in one area for too long. He had a grey and black jacket on. When my son came back to me he was without a jacket and I asked him and he said he left it on the lower level. We made several attempt to locate his Jacket and couldn't find it. I then went to the Manager she made a walk through it me. She then took my contact information and said they would check again when the store gets less busy. It was very unfortunate that my son had to leave the store without a Jacket. I am very disappointed with the level of customer service this location give to their customers. They offer little to no help to their customers and you can never find anyone to offer any form of assistance when you go shopping. I do feel like we were discriminated against and racial profile. I do believe a worker felt like my son was running around and felt like it was their business to throw out my son Jacket. Read moreThis was my first time visiting the DSW shoe store in Carle Place and I was quite disappointed. My sister asked me for a specific sneaker in size 10 for her birthday. First of all it’s very difficult to find anyone to help you in the store. There aren’t very many sales people walking around.
Fortunately I was able to flag down a single sales woman who was getting on an elevator and she made the time to help me realize that this shoe was not in stock in her store nor any other store with the exception of the DSW in Union square Manhattan-which was over 20 miles away.
She helped me put this sneaker on hold and I drove for an hour to get to Manhattan from Carle Place. Fortunately I was able to get the sneaker in that size but it begs the question “why is it that the sneaker was so difficult to find in a size 10? A size 10 would be at least a size that you wouldn’t expect to be extremely popular since most women wear smaller than 10. Furthermore: there was no way to order the sneaker and have it shipped to me in a reasonable amount of time. I was told that any order I placed would probably be canceled.
I am fortunate that I don’t have to shop at this place and after having this experience I doubt I would ever shop there unless I absolutely had to.
They’d be better off allowing a service like “Uber eats“ to deliver shoes for them when they are in lower availability.

Read moreI drove my wife here to get a couple of shoes yesterday morning (Thursday). Our daughter was with us and saw some Bluey light up sneakers, she really wanted them. There was only one pair her size, they looked slightly worn and returned as the manufacturer tags were in the box but cut off. At the register we asked if they had another pair her size, without hesitation the cashier and possibly the manager on duty immediately said "No" that should've been our red flag here. Asked if these were worn and returned, they replied we don't accept worn and returned shoes. No let me see if we have anymore in stock or if another store has in stock, no lemme take off a few dollars off nothing... When my wife told the cashier she had a birthday discount DSW sent her, the cashier said " Oh I don't see it here, you'll have to find it and show me". She had a big attitude which was very unprofessional. We wind up buying 4 pairs of shoes. Honestly when we got home we felt disgusted and decided to return everything back. We called DSW's corporate office, they weren't much help either, they would have someone contact them and that was it. My wife and I decided to return everything today at another DSW location and not purchase...
