There were two glaring issues I found with the room I stayed in. After checking in I went straight to the bathroom in my room, it had been a long drive. I put down the toilet seat to discover there was period blood on the inner side of the front of the toilet seat. The seat was wrapped in a "sanitized" banner and needless to say it was anything but. I was obviously not pleased with the cleanliness of the bathroom. The rest of the room seemed clean but who knows if they really did anything to clean it after the previous guest besides making the bed. The second issue is the balconies are not private at all. The wall between balconies only goes about a quarter of the distance the balcony does so if someone in the room next door is outside your basically sitting side by side. Not private at all. So that's all the bad. The good was it was a nice location close to a lot of stuff, the view from the room was very nice(I was on the sixth floor), and the beds were more comfortable than I expected. Hopefully that helps you decide on a room. Even with the initial bathroom grossness I still gave the hotel 2 stars. I think that was probably just a once in a lifetime kind of mistake. I would hope no one would knowingly leave something like that in someones room. Had it not been for that issue I probably would have given the...
Read moreVery upset and disappointed in this hotel. Booked a 3 night stay for my sister who serves our country to be able to relax on the beach and spend time with family and was told to cancel my reservation right away, front desk was rude by the way, due to her not being 21 only a year shy. I am older than 21, hotel was rented in my name and is my responsibility, but yet my sister can serve our country-protect for our freedom- sacrifice her life but yet she cant even step foot into the hotel without a parent. No where is this noted on the website or on the confirmation email. I called corporate because that's just totally unacceptable just for them to tell me first person i spoke with-yes you can stay there that should be fine, second person-let me call the hotel and see what the misunderstanding is--there was no misunderstanding i speak clearly and so did the front desk gentleman who said she couldn't stay or walk into the hotel without being accompanied by a parent! Lady gets back onto the phone and said "oh I'm sorry for the confusion the hotel can pick and choose their rules". extremely unprofessional on the hotel part. They should be proud to have a soldier wanting to stay in their hotel. Will never book here again and will never recommend this...
Read moreOMG!!! After reading all the negative reviews I still made reservations at this hotel for many reasons including reviews about the professional and helpful staff. When I called this morning to verify my reservations, balance due, check-in, check-out and available amenities the manager, Kaitlyn, was sooooo rude. She sounded as if my questions were a bother to her. When I told her that she was being less than profession by grunting at me i.e. hum, mm-hum, etc her response was "I can't hear you". She said there was no one else to help me and that she was management. WOW! I am not looking forward to this stay as I was before because my friends are very big on customer courtesy which was obviously lacking with Kaitlyn. Workers are only as good as management! Maybe I can find another hotel at this late notice! I do plan to call Days Inn Corporate office because Kaitlyn is in need of additional training. I have NOT stayed at the hotel! This happened when I was trying to confirm...
