Visited off-season. I ordered a medium size pizza with spinach, mozzarella and chicken as toppings, my husband ordered Philly cheese steak with fries. Despite the fact that there were almost no customers, we've waited 30-40 minutes for the food. It was brought to us by a girl who seemed to be fed up with her job. My food came 10 minutes later, so my husband's fries, which were already almost cold, were now cold when I got my order. My pizza was overloaded with cheese & tomato sauce (maybe it's also just the American style), and we weren't given silverware. I tried to ask someone, but no one was behind the counter two times I went to check. My husband went to check again and had to take some from behind the counter bc there was still no one there (it's actually not how we like to act ). The pizza dough was flavorless and the spinach and chicken, which was 2.39$ each, we're only a few crumbs (see pictures). My husband's meal had also no taste somehow. Meanwhile, the girl came by, stood besides us and simply stared at us angrily. When we looked at her confusedly twice, she decided to ask us if everything was OK, we told her it was only ok-ish and made the fitting gesture with the hands - she didn't respond & just turned her back, went away, never to be seen again. The friendly blonde dude from the beginning (who told us how to order etc) was also lost in space at some point. Maybe they still think we're sitting there, scared to come out of the kitchen.... Even off season, you should at least provide a service for your customers. We all have bad days, but your customers might have one, too.

We had dinner at this Dough Boys Pizza location and it was a pretty basic experience. The place wasn't all that clean, but the table was clean enough. We used a coupon from a beach book to get a family combo with a large two topping pizza, four soft drinks, and a cheesy bread. The server was a friendly, seemingly Eastern European summer worker, who brought us refills, but wouldn't appear all that often. When she brought our cheesy bread appetizer she also brought a basket of fries. We thought they might have come with the family meal, but when she came back and said, "Did you order fries?" we realized that they did not, so I replied "I guess that we did now.". The good news is that the fries were delicious, so it wasn't a waste of ten dollars. The cheesy bread was good, but the pizza was not so great and almost disappointing. I admit that I'm sort of a pizza snob, but this was not great pizza. The girls said that the bathroom was pretty gross, and we noticed that there was an odor in the restaurant. I'm not sure that I'd eat here again, with the other pizza options around.

The place was jammed when we arrived. It took the bartender around 5 minutes to acknowledge us. We spent 60 on our meal (including a tip that we LATER found out the bartender got to pocket) that took 45 minutes to arrive with no plates, silverware, or drinks. The wait staff, while pleasant, were making mistakes about orders while the bartender moved like molasses. Our salad looked sad and tasted frozen. The fries were inconsistently fried with some pieces tasting better than others. The pizza was the most mediocre we've had in a long time with parts of the pizza tasting better than others due to toppings and sauce. When we attempted to bring this to the bartender's attention, he blatantly ignored us the entire time. When we asked about the salad being rotten, we were told it was frozen. This is downright unacceptable for a $9 salad. Management needs to get their act together because this is the most disappointed we've been with the food we've had in VA Beach.

We dined in at the bar and Michelle was our bartender and server. Despite how crazy busy she was she still delivered great service. My 1 star rating is due to a staff member named Andre who was EXTREMELY unprofessional which completely ruined my experience. As my table was waiting for our food which was taking a little longer than expected, we hear Andre yelling from the kitchen door’s that Michelle has food up after seeing him stand there for 5-10 minutes catching an attitude. Andre can clearly see her getting overwhelmed with drink orders ( Michelle is a new employee) and continues to stand there and get visibly irritated so much that he storms out to take a smoke break and leaves the customers food to continue to die. Michelle powers through her drink orders and then serves us our food. Once he comes back in from throwing his first temper tantrum of the night he then disrespectfully confronts Michelle in front of the customers about her orders and as Michelle is trying to apologize he screams out “ don’t touch me “ multiple times. Very shortly after that we overheard that Michelle was scheduled to be off at 4 and at this time it is 7pm and she still has not taken a break. He then yells in her face “NO! You’re staying all night because you don’t know what you’re doing!!!” Forcing her to work a double shift. She then goes on a 15 min break and surprisingly he comes in to bartend, meaning he is purposely leaving her to serve drink orders to the entire restaurant just to see her fail so he can disrespect her. As he’s behind the bar customers are unsatisfied with HIS service and are still waiting 15-20 minutes for a drink. As Michelle comes back from break she comes back to things the same way she left them, so she goes into the kitchen to run out her orders. We then hear a frightening screech across the entire restaurant which is Andre yelling Michelle’s name to come out of the kitchen and help him because I guess he got overwhelmed with the two drinks he made, hindering her from completing her job once again. We then asked him for boxes and the check and because he took to long we ended up asking Michelle and after finished her drinks she provided it faster. 5 minutes later he comes over with a box and no bill. As we are proceeding to ask Michelle to take something that we didn’t enjoy off of our bill when she’s finished, he forcefully takes the drink that she’s currently working on out of her hand and yells at her asking what is she taking off the bill and that she needs to do it now. Throughout this entire interaction Michelle remained professional, despite the fact that she is their newest employee with a smile on her face and complied with everything that he asked of her. We then overhear another customer asking for a manager to complain on him when we shockingly hear that he is the manager. This behavior was highly/completely unacceptable and should not be tolerated in the slightest degree. I hope something is done about this because I will NOT be returning...

My family and I went and ate here last night. We were a party of 17 out celebrating my nephews 9th birthday, who is also a cancer survivor. ♥️. We are all aware of COVID-19 and we are all together about social distancing. Every member in my family was wearing a mask, and we definitely did not mind seating at different tables. We arrived at 9:30, the young male server informed us that they are closing at 10 and that we could not come in. We asked if we could order food to go? The young male server said yes. My two nieces and I went to the bar and ordered food. Keep in mind this place is packed with other guests. When we got out bill we noticed that we were charged gratuity. With our two bills combined a total of 25$ 😳😳😳 😫. We asked the bartender why. Her response, it’s at the bottom of your receipt..... At this point we’re confused. It was only 3 of us in the establishment. The rest of my family members were outside...... the bartender said “well I can take it off” . Whatttt??? We went on and told her it was fine not fine. She would have gotten more then 25$ from us. We’re in the business too. So since we got charged gratuity, I told my family to in and take seats. Hell. We paid for them. Before leaving the establishment, I and 3 of my female family members went into the women’s bathroom. It was not being cleaned at the time. The same young male server came into the woman’s bathroom and tried to start cleaning in it. I kindly asked him to leave because it was two 8 year girls, myself and another woman from my family in here, he got an attitude and said I’m sorry. I’m just tired and rolled his eyes. We were all just flabbergasted by this...... absolutely unacceptable..... We won’t ever come to this place again. They was two nice other female servers there, thank goodness for that.... this incident...

The sign at the front says "wait here to be seated", the hostess said we can sit anywhere we want. The server who is also the bartender asked for our drink order, brought the drinks, and forgot to give us straws. We had to ask for straws. The server then sat down 2 tables in front of us and played on his phone for 15 minutes. I had to VERY loudly cough in order to his attention. We ordered a chicken Philly no mushrooms and a steak Philly no mushrooms. The server repeated our order (didn't write it down) and we confirmed it. The food comes and instead I got a spicy chicken sandwich. I questioned the server about my food and he said that it was supposed to come with buffalo sauce. After noticing my husband's Philly looked completely different from mine (his had onions, peppers, lettuce, and shredded beef. Mine had 4 buffalo chicken tenders) when the only difference should've been the meat choice. I informed the server that the order was wrong and he blamed it on the kitchen, when in actuality it was his fault for not writing it down or even remembering what we ordered and noticing it was wrong. After about 15 minutes the right food was brought out. The server didn't seem apologetic. We paid $50 for 2 sandwiches with fries and 2 beers. The service was TERRIBLE and the food was mediocre at best. I would never come back again. I do not recommend.

It happened on Sep 8 around 7pm. At the time of our seating the server who "helped" us and 2 other staff members commented on how slow business was for it to be a Friday night and that it was because school had started back. So there should have been no reason why service was so poor because they were not...
