In an era when the future of cinema feels more uncertain than ever, Regal Columbus stands out not just as a functioning movie theater, but as a living testament to why theaters matter. The building may be nestled on prime real estate, but what’s inside is even more valuable: people who care. From the moment you walk in, you’re met with genuine warmth. The staff here isn’t just doing a job, they’re creating an experience. One standout for me is a familiar face I recognized from a different Regal location closer to my home. It’s always reassuring when a company retains good people, and even better when they end up at a place where their strengths are clearly appreciated. On our visit, two managers were out in the lobby, taking time to have a real conversation with me and a friend; not just the usual scripted chatter, but an honest, engaging back-and-forth about posters, policies, and the state of the industry. These weren’t just managers; they were fans, stewards, and salt-of-the-earth individuals who clearly love where they work. At the concession stand, another kind staff member left a great impression. If I knew her name, I’d give her a personal nod here. Just another example of the thoughtful touches that make this place feel more human than corporate Even the newer layout, where traditional ticket booths are no longer used feels like it’s being managed with care. The door person now circulates near the entrance, greeting visitors not with forced pleasantries but with a genuinely genial attitude. On our second week returning, they actually remembered us and welcomed us back. That kind of attentiveness isn’t standard, it’s exceptional. Of course, there’s a bittersweet undercurrent. Like many others, I’ve kept an eye on Regal’s national footprint, and I know that the Greenbrier location, which was closest to me, was one of many closed in recent waves. It’s no secret the theater industry is facing headwinds. Streaming, shifting habits, and real estate pressures, but that makes the survival of Regal Columbus all the more meaningful. Whether by luck, timing, or sheer local support, this location seems to have earned its reprieve. And I, for one, hope it lasts. So if you’re reading this and wondering whether to make the drive to Columbus, I’ll say this: it’s worth it. Not just for the movie, but for the feeling you get when you walk into a space where people still believe in hospitality, memory, and the magic of the big screen. Five stars. And a sincere thank you to the staff who make it feel like more than just a building with...
Read moreI usually don’t leave google reviews cuz I’m just too lazy to type but today is an exception just for the exceptional customer service. So I went to see the movie Megan today. After the movie already started for like 15 mins, a bunch of teenage girls came in and were giggling and talking for 5min straight. Another customer tried to tell them to be quiet but it didn’t work. Their voice were covering the whole movie sound. A few minutes later, a staff member came in and he warned the girls politely until they stopped talking and disrupting other people’s movie experience. And he stayed around for about 20 minutes to make sure they weren’t talking loudly again. When the movie finished, he handed a guest ticket to me and apologized for the movie experience today. I didn’t get his name but I want to give a shout-out to his exceptional service today:). I also had a really great experience before at this theater when the manager helped me set up the movie subtitle for my mom. Even though this regal may not have all those fancy seats and screens, but it has the best customer service of all the theaters...
Read moreThe staff and security are amazing but as for watching a scary movie with an ignorant crowd yeah right... if you come across what we experience trying to see Annabelle then you may want to let the staff know they will accommodate you in any way I am only giving a five star to the staff and the actual theater because they deserve👌👍👏 it if I had to rate on the crowd I would give a 🖓🖓🖓🖓🖓🖓 they ruined my night and it amazes me the amount of ignorance in the world today you pay money to laugh joke and ruin people's night... if you are so "scared" of scary movies why come see them? If it's attention you need (because that's all it seemed like it was) then there are other ways to get it like GROWING UP AND ACTING MATURE and be something big.... yall are going nowhere fast the way yall are doing it! Thank you to all the staff and the officer that helped to accommodate us in our situation. I know yall apologized to us but it was not yalls fault and we commend you for your professionalism! We will be coming back to this theater again just at a later date and better time for the more...
