Although the salon and manicurists were nice, the actual manicure was awful. I sat down initially excited to get my nails done at this newly open salon I found online with positive thoughts. After my previous gel manicure was taken off, I showed my manicurist a reference picture and asked if she could do the design. Keep in mind this was a simple French manicure with a white base and gold tips, one of the most basic and textbook nail designs out there. I was already worried when she was prepping my nails and did not even ask if I wanted to cut them she made that decision on her own. At the previous salon I went to my manicurist noticed my pinky nail was broken and glued on a tip so all my nails were equal in length, at this salon my manicurist didn’t even ask if I wanted to keep the tip, she just cut it off without my permission or input. She started with the white base and it was already looking uneven and lumpy. Then proceeded to bring a few gold gel polishes to begin on the tip and as she stared painting the tips, she began to get frustrated with how it looked. Going back and forth with wiping the polish on and off and aggressively trying to wipe it off after she instructed me to put it under the UV lamp. When she decided, on her own, that the gold would not work out. She asked if I was okay with just leaving them as plain white nails. They way she wiped the gold polish off, it was still on my nail and even got on my skin. It even messed up some of the white polish already painted. Unsatisfied, I asked if she could draw on some red stripes like candy canes and she agreed. That was my biggest mistake yet. She painted the lines so thin it looked pathetic, and then asked if this was satisfactory. I was so tried and just wanted to get out of there that I just went with it and said yes. Yet, she looked at my nails and then proceeded to call her own work ugly and told me that she would “fix them”. Her method of “fixing” her disaster was putting uneven red dots between the lines. It looked like some kind of ugly Christmas sweater disaster. At this point I just wanted out. My top coat was applied and I was all set to go pay and leave this salon finally. Prior to booking my appointment I saw online that the price of a gel manicure was $27, my total was $35. I was charged $3 to take off my previous gel manicure, which I have never seen in any salon before. And $5 for the excuse of a design, that she literally came up with herself and forced onto my nails. After she got her tip she had the audacity to actually apologize for her own work. I will not be...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with this place. I chose this place because of the reviews but I'm honestly shocked at the high reviews - thinking maybe they suppress the bad ones. They are unorganized and unprofessional. I called on a Friday to book 2 manicures and 1 basic pedicure and 1 spa pedicure for the following Monday at 3pm. We showed up for our appointments just to be told we weren't in the system. They made it seem like it was our fault and conceited to doing our manicures. The woman that did my sister's did a nice job. However, the one who did my gel polish, as nice as she was, was not good. After she filed my nails I saw they were jaggedy. I ended up fixing them myself on the spot. The gel polish overflowed onto and under my cuticles. I figured it was a one time mistake and she was probably rushed. After the appointments, I made another appointment (in person) for the following day for a basic pedicure and a spa pedicure. They called me the day of my appointment confused at how I booked 2 appointments with the same person for the same time. I explained that it was two appointments but the woman didn't seem to understand. I told her to cancel the basic pedicure and that I would just keep the spa pedicure (1 hour). I arrived for my appointment and the woman seemed in a rush, again. This was a different person than the one who did my nails. Halfway through the appointment I realized that she wasn't doing many of the steps of the spa pedicure. I thought maybe she would do it after the polish but she ended the appointment. I somehow received a basic 30 minute pedicure, which is not what I booked. On top of that, I had to ask her 3-4 times to file my nails so they would be even - they were super jaggedy. She also did not even do some of the steps in the basic pedicure. And again, the top coat overflowed and is all over my cuticles. On top of everything else, the place is not very clean.

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting La Vella for a nail appointment, and I must say, I am absolutely thrilled with the results! My nails look absolutely glamorous, thanks to the incredible skills of Mahbuba
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. Mahbuba was not only incredibly skilled at what she does but also one of the sweetest individuals I've ever met. She took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted and then worked her magic to exceed all my expectations.
The attention to detail and precision that Mahbuba displayed during the nail service was truly impressive. She was meticulous in her work and made sure that every nail was perfect before I left the salon. Not only did she create a beautiful design, but she also provided me with valuable tips on how to maintain my nails at home.
The salon itself had a lovely ambiance, creating a relaxing and enjoyable experience from start to finish. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home.
Overall, I cannot recommend La Vella and Mahbuba enough. If you're looking for a top-notch nail service with exceptional customer care, look no further. My nails have never looked better, and I will definitely be returning for future appointments. Thank you for the wonderful experience...
