I never gave a store one star.

My friend and I went in the store for souvenirs and unaware that one of our backpacks is not properly zipped. The store supervisor assumed that we were stealing things so he kept looking at us and following us around…which already made us uncomfortable. He could have just come to us and remind us…

After we checked out a cap and walked out of the store. He chased up to us and claim that people saw us steal a cap and ask to see our receipt. I was so shocked and didnt say much when he was there.

I felt so upset and decided that I wanted to return the cap so I went back to the store. He refused at the beginning because the price tag was off and insisted that people saw us stealing and he’s only doing his job. After the confrontation he eventually apologized and agreed to refund.

He made the assumption that we were stealing at the get go. I was never treated this way an honestly worst shopping experience ever. I can’t shake off the thought that he’s doing this because we look Asian.

Anyway, go to this store if only you are sure you zip your bag properly and you want...

My wife and I had a great experience in this store on our quick, two day visit to West Yellowstone / Yellowstone NP. The store had a great selection of gifts. And upon perusing through the selection of binoculars on sale, I was greeted with a VERY helpful and friendly store clerk who really helped me pick out a great pair, which I ultimately purchased. He showed me several selections and even asked me to carry the item outside so I could really test them out (which felt a little weird like I was stealing even though I never would)! Tom was so amazing! We ended up stranded in our rental car in front of the store. He gave us tips about where to go in town for restrooms, good food and landmarks. He kept coming out to check on us and tell us jokes! When we didn’t know what to do with our heavy backpacks (we are both in our 60’s), he tried to help us problem solve the situation. He made us feel safe and welcomed in town. He made a bad day into a good one and left a lasting impression of kindness and hospitality from this tiny little...
