I'm not leaving this review to crap on this business, but more so in the hope they can learn from it. I saw the post on Facebook requesting we don't leave negative 1 star reviews as it can damage a small business, but we need to be allowed to be honest and give feedback without feeling guilty. All the 1 star reviews have a common theme, so work needs to be done with your staff, or have less tables to cater to if they can't cope(same for the kitchen, if they can't cope, don't book so many tables). We were taken to our table but there weren't enough seats(it was only a table for 2) so we had to wait for another seat to be brought, the same happened with the table behind us that arrived just after we did. We were told we'd be brought some water, but this didn't happen, however the tables that arrived after us got water and the staff walked past us multiple times and really didn't seem to have any idea what they were doing. This actually seemed to be a common theme throughout the time we were there, no observational skills, no order to what they were doing and they really seemed to have no idea. There didn't appear to be a manager on or anyone guiding these staff members as to what they should be doing. Finally we got some water and had our orders taken, as did all the tables around us. 30 mins went by and the tables around us were given free corn chips to apologise for the wait, we got none. Other tables started to leave due to them being finished and we thought at that point things would pick up and food would start coming, but nothing, no tables were getting food. At the one hour mark we'd had enough and decided we'd leave because no one was being updated on the delays and how long it would be, yet the staff kept walking around our area seemingly doing nothing in particular and looking like that really didn't have a clue. The other tables around us were also clearly getting annoyed by the wait and no one getting any food. The staff here need better training or better managerial guidance or one area to concentrate on(the disheveled layout of the restaurant wouldn't help with the confusion) and the kitchen really needs a better system as mexican food isn't complicated nor hard to make, so there's no reason for it to take...
Read moreWe came here for my birthday as a bucket-list restaurant to try. The service was lovely, and helpful, however, it was busy, and of course, servers are split between many tables. We were sat on a table of 6, and had to bring another chair and cutlery ourselves for a 7th person, which is the number of people that we had booked ahead for. No issues, we were happy to do it. The wait was quite a while, around 50 minutes, and not many updates from servers about our food, but they kept us busy with drinks. We had a 10 year old with us, and of-course, it is not really a kid-friendly restaurant and definitely had a demographic of young adults socialising. I had the special warm burrito bowl with beef and guacamole added, and no chulo (I don't deal well with spice). The dish was delicious, and balanced well together. It was a perfect portion size as well. The beef was soft, and moist, and had a hint of after-taste that was delicious, and clearly infused with other flavours. I recommend mixing it all together, and with the sour-cream and avocado, made it a moist, appealing meal to eat and enjoy thoroughly. My grandmother, however, had loaded fries, that I snuck a fry in, and immediately noticed how cold her chip was, which was a downside, but she still enjoyed the meal. Overall, a pleasant night out for meals, with only a few things that could be...
Read moreEveryone I’ve come here the wait on food is well over an hour. We booked thinking it would be nice try again and to enjoy some taco’s but the wait was not worth something I could’ve just made at home. It took 20 mins just to get water and table service. The cocktails were good but we then waited over an hour for food, we still had to flag down service for a second drink. Complimentary chips were given to us and a few others which we didn’t end up eating because they were dry. (Not a great combo with cocktails) by the time we got our food we were tired and over it and the food was below average. It would’ve been quicker for us to Menulog Zambrero’s and eat at home or cook ourselves after a big day out. Definitely our last and final visit. Which is sad because it has a great atmosphere, but even then is dampened by the impatience and tension in the room. So much...
