Quarterdeck Apartments — Hotel in Gold Coast City

"BED BUGS" NEGLECTED TO INFORM ME OFF THAT THE UNIT HAD BED BUGS BUT WHEN I COMPLAINED IF AN ITCH HE SAID AND DID NOTHING.... I THEN PROCEEDED TO WASH ASSUMING IT MAY BE IN MY CLOTHES FROM STORAGE ABD CKEAN YHE UNIT TO ILLIMINATE THE ITCH , but When I returned from The doctors days later and had been diagnosed with scabies and having a melt down due to this do I recall Zom asking me to Make sure I don't move the bed . When I put him on the spot regarding this only then does he own that's been known to have bed bugs recently.... A week and a half after I complained about the itch... He agreed to a Refund and laundry expenses and accomodation expenses to contain and Fumigate my pocessions however I received the refund and accomodation was yet to be organised as his suggestion was not of the same financial arrangement and I suggested a couple that I believed were to be Month to Month rentals . However he blacked out my beeper code whilst I was out gathering some information regarding this procedure and my mechanics appointment and was left on the street. He then RENEGGED on EvERYTHING AND LOCKED ME OUT WITHOUT MY POCESSIONS TO SLEEP IN MY CAR ON THE STREET. THEN FAILED TO FUMAGATE AND FORCED ME TO CHOOSE TO COLLECT MY PROPERTY INFESTED. WHICH MEANT THEN MY CAR WAS INFESTED, WHICH MEANT MY CAR WAS THEN MY STORAGE LOCKER AND LEFT ME WITH NO OPTION BUT TO KNOCK ON FRIENDS DOORS AND ENTER NAKED AND HAVE A HOT SHOWER ON ENTRY AND WEAR THEIR CLOTHES.. . as I was staying there whilst doing inspections for a long term rental has left me in an awful situation where not only had I failed to attend all my inspections and spppintments but Now It was crucial (as a host) that I did not spread these everywhere so I had to Quarantine outside a friend's unit aI've contacted all gov. Dept. And A Current affair. And Still No regulations or requirements to license regarding bed bugs is owned by any department. Hopefully Human Rights Commission has more to say thank local MP offices...

I wish to express my utter dissapointment to the say we had at Quarterdeck Apartments.

We paid a price expecting to be delivered a reasonable stay. We had the complete opposite.

With the air-conditioning not working we were forced to spend the whole day out in cooled areas as there was no breeze after being told by yourself to "open the windows". The air-conditioning requires a service as it has not been done since November 2020. This is ridiculous. The ceiling fan in both the bedroom and lounge room are not even worth having on. The pedestal fan you provided didn't do anything either.

Also not being provided a hand towel to dry your hands after you wash them is appalling. I had to resort to using the tea towel from the kitchen in the bathroom.

The shower screen leaked whilst in the shower causing you to have a wet floor mat and making it quite dangerous on the tiles, making it very slippery.

We were there for 5 days and we were given 1 toilet roll which went everywhere as the "windows" were open. I was forced to buy more which is disgusting as the hotel should supply them.

I have travelled quite alot and this would have to be the most horrible stay I've ever had. So so dissapointing.

Before I make this public on your reviews, I await your reply and a resolution in a form of a refund.

Sorry to hear about your complaints. The air con having issues was unfortunate. Sorry that the fans didn't help out.

If you needed more toilet paper you could always contact me to get some more.

We unfortunately do not provide hand towels and never have.

We booked this apartment as it was close to the venue of our 3 day conference. The location is fabulous and the on-site hotel manager is very helpful. ||The apartment is very old, but spacious with everything you could possibly want. My only negative comments are: |* the shower is tiny. If you are a large person you would struggle. |* the vanity mirror is place for someone who is 6ft. |* You do have to buy your own toilet paper |* Only 1 towel, no bath matt (they offer a hand towel), but no actual hand towel or facewasher. |* No pool towels. |* lighting in bedroom pathetic|* fan in bedroom hardly works and no aircon or heating in bedroom|* could feel the springs in the mattress. ||I was there for 5 nights and no room refresh either. However for the price that is okay. The outside pool is not inviting as it is next to the busy road and surrounded by the construction (on site and across the road). There is an indoor heated pool (tiny) and a sauna thought. ||They are also doing major renovation works to the hotel to the entrance was often blocked and the sound and vibration through the walls makes it impossible to sleep or relax sometimes. They are also building a huge Meriton across the road that will ruin the mountain view of the hotel. That said... it's the Gold Coast, why are you...
