This is our fourth time staying with Howie & Jolanta, and our experience never disappoints! The house and gardens are stunning, rooms and bathrooms always extremely clean. The location is just a few minute walk into Old Town NOTL. Nothing can top the breakfasts, (always starting with a delicious fruit and ending with a main course that’s comparable to fine dining,) down to the little details of beautiful china and table linens. Our favorite part about staying at the Lyons House are the hosts, Howie & Jolanta. Not only are they the perfect host/hostess, but they are SO HELPFUL with helping you plan your stay. They always have plenty of tasting cards for the wineries, they map your routes for you and give you all the tips and suggestions that a local could give. Whether you just want to drink, eat (or both!) go to the theater, or bike ride along the beautiful Niagara River Parkway, they guide you along the way. They enjoy getting to know their guests, and add personal touches. My husband and I were just there celebrating our 5th anniversary, and we came back after a day of biking and wineries to find a bottle of chilled champagne in our room with two flutes, along with a hand written note sending their anniversary wishes.||||Lyons House is top notch, and I highly recommend! We can’t...
Read moreBeautiful historic home 2 blocks from downtown NOTL. Howard welcomed us with open arms and showed us around their beautiful home. Our room was tastefully decorated and bed was super comfy with high end lines. Bathroom small bit spacious enough with hairdryer and towels. Room also had 2 sitting chairs l,fireplace and large screen tv with Fireatick. So we could watch whatever we wanted. Also a small bar fridge with a few water bottles provided and a Kori type coffee maker. Howard offered us cream or milk if we needed. Breakfast both morning was amazing and super delicious. His wife Yolanta is a star at the ricotta and lemon pancakes. Fresh fruit and yogurt both morning with coffee and juice. They were careful about allergies and any dietary restrictions. We also enjoy and evening in the backyard with a bottle of wine we had purchased at one of the local wineries. Yolanta also offered her knowledge of trails to walk and wineries in the area. |The home is one of the oldest homes in the area and Howard had mentioned that they are now in their 25th year as B&B Owners. Cups to them. The home is beautiful and offers a wonderful and relaxing staff. |The cat is large and don’t even bother us. |Would...
