Today was the day I tried my first affogato and I am pleased to say that Il Gelato di Carlotta set the bar high for any future affogato and gelato orders. My family and I came from Mississauga to tour the area with some relatives from Ohio, we figured we would scope out the cute and inviting store. The owners are passionate and greet you with the biggest smile, I was pretty nervous entering the store since I knew nothing about gelato, but their kindness invited me to a contagious smile.

The staff was accommodating, open to recommendations for pairing flavors together, and made sure you left satisfied. This sweet male worker recommended the hazelnut gelato to be paired with the espresso, it was love at first bite. The staff holds up the conversation well, showing that they love to engage with every customer to have. One of the staff members even recommended to me that I should add whip cream to my affogato when I come back, I felt more than welcome! The outside seating area is comfy and externalizes just how passionate they are to accommodate their customers.

The flavours are strong, the coffee is fresh, I would love to come here again. The commute is worth being able to see their smiles, indulge in the atmosphere they create in a small, humble store, and to have a taste of what they have to offer.
