My husband and I wanted to get away for a couple of days, just to take a break from busy life. We found a really cozy place. Upon arrival, we met owner Maria. She is a beautiful and charming lady. I chat with her for a while in her majestic garden. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The whole place has a lot of history. Well preserved and maintain. Smells fresh and nice! Lovely place. Steps away from the lake and heart of town. Close everywhere.|||| 1st-day Breakfast: At 8 a.m sharp there is always fresh coffee with biscuit or muffin at your door. At 9.a.m breakfast is served on the patio in her garden. Of course, Maria keeps her guests distancing. She served breakfast on neatly set white tablecloths tables using English porcelain. She served coffee, orange juice, and nicely presented strawberry on yogurt in a lovely glass. Perfectly pouched eggs on English muffin and smoked salmon.||||2nd-day Breakfast: Coffee with a muffin at your door at 8 a.m sharp!||Breakfast: again glass of orange juice, coffee, scumble eggs, and nicely baked pastry staffed with broccoli, cheese, ham, and mushrooms. Glass of watermelon balls. Try anyone to tell me that this is not Royal treatment!||Upon checking out Maria presented us with 4 homemade muffins for the road.|| Planning already to stay there again, this time with my friends in the fall.||Thank you, Maria. You made our 40th wedding anniversary...
Read moreThis trip was originally planned for the May long weekend, and because of Covid was cancelled until the Canada Day period. It was well worth the wait.||Our room was romantic, and so very clean, the bed was comfortable as was the sitting area in the room. ||Each morning we opened our door to a tasty treat of fresh brewed coffee, and delicious home baked goods, which were a prelude to wonderful breakfasts that were healthy (lots of fresh fruit) and while filling, were not overly heavy. Each meal that we enjoyed, and we were there for 3 days, was unique and tasty.||The whole of the B&B and the grounds were well cared for and welcoming. They have done this while we feel maintaining the integrity of the history of the home.||Maria is a wonderfully gracious host, and the B&B is so well situated that in our 3 days we did not stop because there was no end of things locally or nearby to entertain and enjoy.||With all of the Covid protocols we felt comfortable and safe at all times. ||We would highly recommend this as a place that is perfect for a...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed 1 night at the Wilson-Guy house in mid-August 2021, and we loved the experience very much! We got the room #3 on the main floor with a queen size bed. The room was super clean, spacious, and very well decorated. The host Maria was amazing. We called and texted her before we arrived to request an early check-in, with some other questions, she always replied promptly. After we let her know about our special diet (as my husband is a pescatarian), she accommodated us with a delicious smoke salmon egg benedict for the 9am formal breakfast. The coffee and the freshly-made croissant at 8am were such a pleasant surprise to us. They were presented so beautifully on a silver tray at our door with some fresh flowers. We felt so pampered! The location of the house couldn't be more perfect as well. Everything is within very short walking distance. We really loved our stay, and will definitely go back...
