Edward Spera Gallery — Attraction in Niagara-on-the-Lake

My partner and I had taken a trip to Niagara when we passed by the Edward Spera Gallery. The artwork is beautiful, and though we didn't have much time my partner stopped to get the social media information posted outside the store front. He did not have service in the area, and took a picture of the info since again, we were in a rush. An employee then came out and began to threaten us about a $100 000 dollar copyright on the image and when we explained we were just getting the social media information, she seemed not to believe us and was still very rude (even when he offered to show her the image he'd taken of just the social media info). It was a really upsetting way to end our day there, and overall terrible since we really did love the work. I am an artist myself and understand the gravity of an image being distributed without consent, but this was not the way to go about it at all. I had a terrible experience on January 7th 2023. I spoke highly about this gallery that my fiance and I frequently visit and make purchases in Niagara on the Lake. I told my friends and we drove all the way from Toronto to visit this gallery. My friend saw a leather jacket on the side where his wife works that match my outfit and I tried it on and it was kind of tight so I said thank you for your help. As I was walking out she came running past my friend and grabbed my wrist and asked me if I was leaving with one of the Rings from the store. She then grabbed my finger and proceeded to spin my own ring on my finger. I was very shocked and felt very humiliated in front of my friends and others that were around. I recommend if you do go there and happen to wear something similar that she is selling she will accuse you of shoplifting. I was so embarrassed very distraught on my drive home and my anxiety was acting up. I am very disappointed and will never go...

Been a follower of his work for nearly a decade and find him to be truly incredible at capturing the true beauty of wildlife of our planet. Some of his pieces are so good you may even think they are a photo rather than a drawing!! Just found out today that the White Rhino may forever be extinct very soon with the inevitable passing of the last male in Africa...
