Communication with the property prior to our trip and during our stay was great. We stayed for two nights. The staff was very responsive and attentive to our needs (Thank you, Juan and Santiago!!). We took advantage of their airport shuttle service to and from the airport and the shuttle driver was always early and ready to pick us up at our designated time (we had an early flight too). It was clean, quiet, and safe. It was a 5-10 min walk towards the main plaza with restaurants and shops along the way. It's a beautiful, well-maintained hotel property and has lovely flora including their own banana, lime, and orange trees. Great views!||Things to be mindful of: Bring cash in COP for driving services and local bars/shops. There is also an ATM in the plaza. Hotel staff speak English well, but knowing some basic Spanish will help in town and with drivers. Have WhatsApp on your phone to communicate with the hotel during the day. Google Translate app will help with others. WiFi at property was good!||Expectations for hotel room: Overall it met our needs and was comfortable and clean. Having the front porch with the chairs and hammock was very relaxing. There are no fans nor A/C in the room. No bathroom ceiling fan either. It can get a little warm in the day (we were there end of Jan), but it cools down later in the afternoon/evening. No hairdryer if you need it, but there are outlets in the bathroom. ||I highly recommend this hotel for your stay...
Read moreWe were a group of 3 and stayed in in two rooms for five days over New years. Place was charming and rooms were very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and most were competent in English. Breakfasts were very good with a buffet of fruit, cold cuts and cheeses, and a choice from a number of hot plates. With only 9 rooms, service was very personal. Free parking was available out front for our rental car. Location was about a 10 minute easy walk to the main town square. Only critique was challenge to pay for the horseback excursion and the special New Years Eve meal (which was delicious). No ATMs in town had cash because of the holiday, and Terasu does not accept credit cards. They sent a link for to pay using Bold, but 5 cards were declined as verification was sent via text message to my Canadian cell phone number. something I could not access with my Colombian eSim. Eventually, I paid using Western Union to one of the staff, and check out process took over a half hour that we nearly missed our flight. Then days after I left I continued to receive messages asking me to pay the outstanding bill until they finally accepted that all was square. If not for that, I would give 5 stars, and I would advise they find additional methods for people to...
