Very poor and unprofessional service and management. Average to bad tasting food. My wife and I ordered 4 empanadas and they were still frozen in the inside. While I can’t say this for certain, I am almost positive they were store-bought frozen empanadas due to the similarity in size and blend taste. When we told the waitress about it, she took back the 2 empanadas we hadn’t cut open and told us they would re-fry them, while they left the other 2 frozen ones on the table. I was a bit shocked then, but I was even more surprised when they brought back the same 2 empanadas (this time cooked through), even though we had ordered 4. At least they did not charge us for them and apologized. We also ordered pizza. Very poor quality, blend dough, and too many ingredients - the kind of pizza any of us with average cooking skills can make at home. The ingredients themselves were not bad. Vegetables and meat tasted the way they are supposed to. Nothing like the pictures they have on the wall though. Last but not least, even though our bill clearly stated we owed 32,000 pesos (kind of overpriced for just one medium pizza), they charged us 35,000 pesos. I asked the manager about the extra charge and he literally said “it’s for the tip”, so I said nicely “okay, that is fine” (as some places, especially in Cartagena, include a mandatory tip). But then the manager said “it is voluntary though”. Then why assume I want to tip when my experience was clearly poor?! Obviously I told them to keep the extra 3,000 pesos because they wanted the tip THAT bad. But this was the tip of the iceberg - avoid this place. Do not be fooled by the photos on their walls and the fact that it may be surprisingly full due to the location and decor. The high number of 1-2 star reviews are there for a reason. The two stars are due to the nice decoration and location. It is definitely a nice place to sit...
Read moreLeave and go somewhere else... Unfortunately we were hungry and mischieved by the fairly good reviews and decided to eat here before looking for other restaurants.
We ordered a Margherita pizza with extra achovies and the waiter said yes. Extra ingredients were supposed to be charged 5.000. When the pizza came, it came with OLIVES instead of anchoves. The waiter said he was sorry and that achoves would have costed about 15.000 extra. Anyway. We accepted it because we didn't want that food to get thrown away. But we would have ordered something else if we had known.
We also ordered a veggie lasana. It was made with frozen Asian mixture of veggies, such as carrots, broccoli and celery. Celery was really the worst. I can't imagine how Italians would feel.
Other than that, everything was very expensive for this lack of quality and care. Easy money making place, I guess. The waiters were nice. I wonder who are the owners: that's the source of...
Read moreArrived here & asked for a table, the lady ignored us as we stood there waiting. With an half empty restaurant she took off and started clearing a table without saying anything. Then when I asked her so are you gonna serve us, she was extremely rude.
We gave her the benefit of the doubt and took a seat. We ordered the food and what we got was so rank. Take a look at the photo, this was super lame meat dish my brother ordered.
Thankfully I ordered a hamburger from next door which was good.
My wife ordered the Cordon Bleu which was such a fail. She couldn't even eat it. The chicken was boiled and wasn't crumbed, served with warm cream milk with oregano (tasteless). We have traveled all around the world and never been so disappointed at a dish.
I would highly suggest steering away fro this place and try somewhere on Salento which accept you with nice service...
