My only regret was not staying longer. I just cannot say enough about Fernando & Paula. The home was located next to a beautiful green belt and yet only 2-3 blocks away from the main town square. Such a wonderful location. YOU MUST TRY CHEF FERNANDO VELEZ’s COOKING CLASS. It was hands-down my favorite experience in Colombia. Chef Velez has a professional kitchen in the hostel and offers a 3-4 hour cooking experience. We picked numerous fruits and vegetables from his backyard garden... he was so passionate about the history of food & told beautiful stories while sharing culinary techniques. It was very hands-on, interesting, intimate, and just a beautiful experience. There was so much value, I cannot recommend this enough!! (Not to mention the beer and wine paired with a 3-4 course meal; the price was SO cheap) I travel often. This will be one of those memories that lasts a...

Best place we've stayed in Colombia! We stayed in a private room that was a similar cost to most places we've been, but had our own bathroom with instantly hot water and a double bed as well as bunk beds, felt like amazing value. The host was very warm and welcoming and always available to answer questions and give advice about the city and local excursions. The location is at the end of a quiet street, no street noise at night and a super peaceful vibe in the hostel. I worked online here and they had excellent wifi and a variety of different areas to work and relax. Would absolutely come back and recommend this...
