We loved our stay at this small boutique residence in the centre of the old town of Split. The room was bright, airy, clean and spacious, as was the bathroom, and also pleasantly quiet. We were met at the airport by Ivo, the Residence manager, who could not have been more helpful during our stay, arranging our transport to Trogir a few days later and also a table at the Bokeria Kitchen and Wine Bar, the restaurant around the corner associated with the hotel. Ivo provided breakfast vouchers (10 euros per person) for the Bokeria, which we would thoroughly recommend - a great breakfast, especially the truffle omelette! The situation of the Residence could not be better. We were a minute's walk from the Diocletian palace, and just a few minutes walk from the seafront Riva (an amazing place to sit, drink and people-watch!), as were the small squares nearby. We also walked up Marjan hill - we would recommend this as the views over Split and the mountains encircling the city are magnificent.||For us it was fine, but a word of warning, the Residence is on the third floor of the building and...
Read moreLocation was excellent and walking distance to most main attractions. Room clean. Bed comfortable. The hotel manager (Ivo) was very friendly with good advice about where to eat and also pointed out the main sites on a map. He also picked us up from the airport and back (EUR35 each way). Igor helped with the luggage when leaving the B&B and he was also very friendly, as was the lady who cleaned the room. All staff we encountered were a credit. The 3 flights of stairs were a challenge although we knew this before booking. The breakfast was an odd arrangement with the Bokeria restaurant just around the corner. The quality of the food was excellent but you were only allowed one item per person from their breakfast menu with the voucher provided by the B&B, plus a coffee, water and orange juice. Portions were quite large so we shared and were therefore able to enjoy their lovely yoghurt/fruit mix followed by...
Read moreDO NOT RECOMMEND!||I booked this stay in December and 4 days before I was to stay, I informed them that I would not be able to make it as I could not enter Croatia due to visa issues.||This is only 1 day over the free cancellation period and I requested them to refund my money on decency grounds or provide a solution that works.||Not only Ivo Tomic from the hotel refused to help, was curt and cited policy, and upon saying that I will share the feedback - claimed I was blackmailing them. The hotels that I had booked prior to split refunded my money even though I had to cancel on the same day. They were so cooperative and understood the unique situation we were in.||So don’t expect anything from this team if you face any unforeseen issues, they will cut you off and treat you poorly and accuse you of blackmailing. Policy is one thing, but respect and empathy is...
