ARISTOKRATY HOTELY s.r.o. — Hotel in okres Karlovy Vary

Our stay at the Karlovy Vary Grande Madonna was nothing short of a nightmare. Instead of a peaceful spa holiday, we were shocked to find that about 95% of the guests were Russian-speaking tourists. What is even more disturbing is that the hotel openly welcomes visitors from an aggressor state with a smile. For a so-called “European” 4-star spa hotel, this is both scandalous and morally unacceptable.

The room was unacceptable: a broken sink, a tiny bathroom with bathtub and toilet combined, no working ventilation, and no window at all. The constant smell and stale air made it impossible to relax. The pillows and mattresses were so hard it felt like sleeping on concrete.

The staff were unfriendly, unhelpful, and shockingly did not speak a single word of German – neither at reception nor in the restaurant. For a hotel that claims to be “international” and 4-star, this is simply ridiculous.

The restaurant was another disaster. Empty buffets, tasteless food of the cheapest quality, and an atmosphere closer to a run-down hostel than a spa hotel. Even though we had full board included, we had to go out to eat at proper restaurants to get a decent meal. This place is a disgrace and a scam for guests. There is absolutely nothing 4-star about it, and no international standards whatsoever. This hotel ruined our holiday – never again, and under no circumstances...

So... Not bad experience BUT no air conditioning. They mention an existence of it in TripAdvisor and Booking.com but they try to save energy and use it in the restaurant only. Keeping in mind an unusual high summer temperature for last two years, air conditioning is required if you pretend to be a classy resort. Services are good. Especially medical. This area has a second floor with no elevator to support people with orthopedic problems. They have a uniquely talented massage specialist Ivan who was able to correct my wife's scoliosis. Never hoped it is possible to correct by massage! But HE DID IT! Bravo!!! The rest of massagists do not much his level of excellence. They are just good, not perfect. Would be great if owners of resort will respect him and pay as he deserves. The food! Perfect! There is only one cooking shift which is less successful but others. Service people are good, friendly and supportive. Please fix few problems are get 5...

Perfect location as it is right in the center and everything is within walking distance, very comfortably furnished, pleasant atmosphere and not too spacious and too many rooms, some staff very friendly, some unfortunately not so much, also it's hardly to find any staff - usually had to wait a very long time whether for a coffee at the bar or at the reception in the spa, everything very clean, room was a bit noisy but very comfortable only the mattress needs improvement be exchanged - since it was worn out and you were lying in a hollow (was a bit uncomfortable), unfortunately you couldn't choose the treatment as described in the brochure, but the masseur was great! And the wellness area is very nice (if not too many guests are present at the same time), the food was sometimes good and sometimes very bland, I think the price-performance...
