A Pleasant Experience at Tiskarna Narodni Restaurant
I recently had the opportunity to visit Tiskarna Narodni Restaurant, and overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. One of the highlights of the visit was the incredibly friendly and polite staff. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed, and throughout the meal, the staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was also quite enjoyable. The decor and ambience created a comfortable and inviting setting, making it a nice place to relax and enjoy a meal. It was evident that they put effort into creating a cosy and charming environment for their guests.
While the quality of the food and drinks was acceptable, I must admit that the prices were a bit higher than expected. While I understand that being located in a prime area can affect the pricing, I still hoped for a better balance between cost and quality. Nonetheless, the dishes we ordered were tasty and well-prepared, and the drinks offered a decent selection.
Despite the slightly higher prices, the overall experience was positive, thanks in large part to the excellent service and pleasant atmosphere. If you're looking for a place with friendly staff and a cosy ambience, Tiskarna Narodni is worth...
Read moreWe entered the restaurant and waited to be seated for about 15 seconds, but there was no one by the entry door and the restaurant was 3/4 empty, so we slowly proceeded inside, having a waiter come towards us. He scolded us for not waiting by the door to be seated in a jokey way, instead of apologizing for our wait. We honestly didn't know whether we should keep waiting as it seemed there's no personnel to seat the guests. I am used to the greeting/seating person being always present by the door.
Me having been the one who told my boyfriend "Let's go", I apologized to the waiter and said we didn't know whether the seating waiter was present, to which I got told a Czech proverb - let me paraphrase - "Where a devil cannot get, he'll send a woman there". This is wildly inappropriate. While Czech people might find gender roles and "jokes" somewhat normal and traditional, me, being the target for those jokes (and also the one paying for the dinner), I do not.
This person's etiquette was non-existent, as he first asked my boyfriend for his order. Then he dropped my utensils.
The food was okay - I definitely had better for the same price and I'd rate it maybe 3.5/5, it's a little bit more on the pricier side. Other staff members were kind, but I couldn't enjoy the...
Read moreI had bad experience because of the rude male employee who gets order and give bill. He explained himself very tired because he is having last day of his shift and I smelled cigarette from him. It is basic manner to be clean and odor-free when greeting customers in the restaurant. While we order asparagus soup, he asked us if we want some bread, and I asked him if the bread is included in the price, and he said yes. We ordered a dark beer and asked him to give us one more. White beer was served. We said we didn't order this one, and requested to change to a dark one. It was delivered to wrong seat. When he gave us the bill, the bread was extra charge. I had the good feeling with females employees but because he was the one who got the order and gave us bill, i didn't want to give him a tip. He threw the receipt on the table because I didn't give him a tip.
I usually give tip when I got a good service. It is not included in the bill for a reason. The restaurant had a good beer but the food was salty. Maybe it was intended to make people order more beer. Nonetheless, because of the rude employee, I don't recommend...
