The location is superb and the price was also very good, unfortunately, the staff were so rude it actually became comical. Upon arrival, the woman behind the reception desk wasn't even able to raise her head to acknowledge us as clearly whatever she was watching on tv was far more important than the annoyance of pesky guests trying to check in. Eventually, when we were starting to wonder if we were going to be left standing there for the night, she asked for our passports and left a room key on the counter which we assumed was for the room we were to be staying in but we're still not 100% on that one.||When we were leaving the hotel to go into town, we attempted to hand our room key to the same woman but, unsurprisingly, she wanted nothing to do with us! Instead, she pointed (grunted might be more accurate) to a hole in the reception desk where we were to drop our key into. On reflection, the hole was roughly two feet away from her so we were completely at fault for once again disturbing her from her television programmes.||Although we stayed in the hotel for three nights, the room was not cleaned once. The bed was never made, the towels never changed, the bins never emptied etc etc. We even had to go down to reception to request a role of toilet paper for the room which then became its own ordeal. ||I have been to Prague numerous times and will definitely be going again but we certainly won't be staying here again. Location is great and to be fair, there was no issue with the room on arrival but once there, they couldn't care...
Read morePicked this hotel due to locality and price. It certainly is in a good location very close to Wenceslas Square. It is an exceptionally clean, traditional hotel. We found the staff attentive and eager to please. Rooms were cleaned every day and towels were also changed daily. ||Breakfast was very good with a good selection to cater for most tastes and dietary requirements. ||The bedroom itself was ample sized with everything required. There was a plentiful supply of toiletries in the bathroom but the shower over the bath was a bit odd. It was only waist height therefore you had to hold it up when washing hair and upper part of body. ||Apart from this minor gripe the hotel was ideal for our long weekend in Prague.||The hotel is a 15 minute walk away from the main train station if you choose to explore further afield. We took the train to Kutna Hora to visit the Bone Chapel (Sedlec Ossuary) which is worth visiting. ||Should you decide to use the trains, give yourself plenty of time to navigate the station...
