If you're in Prague and looking to experience something extraordinary with your family, OMG Restaurant at Myslíkova 2/26 is an absolute hidden gem you must try! Who says great food experiences have to be limited to Prague's well-trodden paths? OMG Restaurant shatters this myth with its unique blend of Japanese-inspired cuisine and anime-themed ambiance, creating a magical experience that delights both kids and adults alike.
The star of the menu is their ramen – an absolute must-try! This is no ordinary bowl of noodles; each dish is crafted with rich, flavorful broths and topped with fresh, high-quality ingredients that make every slurp unforgettable. It’s hard to find ramen that achieves this level of authenticity in Prague, and OMG does it with finesse. Whether you’re a ramen aficionado or trying it for the first time, this place is a treat for the taste buds.
Our culinary adventure didn’t stop there! We also tried the gyoza, shrimp tempura, and mochi – and each dish was exceptional. The gyoza had the perfect balance of a crispy, golden exterior and a juicy, savory filling that left us craving more. The shrimp tempura was a standout, too, with a light, crispy batter that didn’t overpower the freshness of the shrimp, making every bite satisfying and full of flavor. And to wrap up the meal, we indulged in mochi – a sweet, chewy, and refreshing treat that was the ideal finish to an amazing meal.
What truly sets OMG apart, however, is the atmosphere. The anime-themed decor brings a fun, colorful vibe that immediately captivates you – and if you have kids, they’ll be enchanted from the moment they step in! From vibrant character art on the walls to playful touches throughout the restaurant, it’s like stepping into an anime world. It's not just a meal here; it's a full experience, and one that’s sure to be a highlight for family outings.
For families, foodies, and anime lovers alike, OMG Restaurant offers a unique dining adventure that goes beyond food. It's where great flavors meet fun in a way that makes every visit special. Highly recommended for anyone looking to add a bit of wonder to their...
Read moreThis restaurant popped up as one of the most highly rated restaurants, and so we were influenced and went to try it.
The staff were very kind, polite and attentive. We came in with no reservation, yet they warmly welcomed us! The place is very cute, cozy, and quiet.
We had the Ebi memory (shrimps tempura), fried chicken gyoza, and we got the Geisha Memory sushi set. The Ebi tempura was incredible, crunchy and fresh. 10/10 The fried chicken gyoza was good. 8/10 just because I don’t prefer it fried. We have mixed feelings towards the Geisha sushi set; it was not to our expectations- we expected something incredible and outstanding and it was not. Visually, and presentation wise the sushi was looking 10/10, but the flavors were not; The fish didn’t taste fresh for me personally. All the flavors of the different rolls were very close and similar.. did not feel a flavor kick when trying a new roll. One of the rolls was sliced into very big pieces I could barely fit into my mouth and properly chew them. Some of the rolls were overly topped with sauce- which was not to our liking. Final rating 6.5/10.
As I mentioned we came here after we read many reviews raving this place, and simply the place did not meet our expectations.
I would recommend you to try this place, but don’t come with over the moon expectations like we did. This review coming from fresh, raw, flavorful sushi lovers. Take it all with consideration as our experience might not be like...
