Checked in Orea Place Seno around 29 Septembet on Friday at 17:30 and left the room around 19:30. While stepping out, I informed the receptionist that AC wasn't working and was told it could only be fixed tomorrow as it was already late.
Returned to my room around 23:30 (so just 4 hours away from room on Friday)
30 September Saturday, left my room around 14:30 and came back 18:30. At the reception, I encountered a technician who was about to approach my room to fix AC. The AC was fixed in the presence of me and the receptionist.
Around 21:00, while packing my stuff for an early check-out next morning, I realised 500 Euros were missing from my cash. I checked everywhere and couldn't find it. Decided to contact reception.
21:30 I approached reception, but the receptionist was busy boarding a new client, so ethically, I decided not to create any scene, and I stepped out to grab a coffee.
Around 22:30, I came back and informed the receptionist about missing cash. (By now, I have only been out of the room for only 9 hours in two days)
I entered my room and rechecked cash, and to my shock, the further 300 Euros were missing.
I lost my senses and rushed to reception to complain about the further 300 Euros, which were just stolen now.
The receptionist informed the hotel manager and confirmed police have been involved.
I kept asking the receptionist who had access to my room beside me, and the constant answer was CLEANERS. (My room wasn't cleaned that day. As I checked in just a day ago and everything was in order)
I had an early morning flight to Amsterdam and day after flight to Abu Dhabi along with a hotel booking in Amsterdam. All were prepaid and non-adjustable.
I had to check out on Sunday around 8AM.
After reviewing CCTV and Access Log, management informed that in my absence only receptionist entered into my room on Saturday to check if my AC was fixed (which was already fixed in presence of ither receptionist around 18:30) and there's no evidence of any valuable being taken out.
They also informed that receptionist are authorised to enter into the guest room in their absence to ensure complaints are resolved.
My questions are very simple:
Why did nobody access my room while I was in my room most of the time?
What's the logic of accessing the room after 21:30 to check if AC was fixed ? On Friday 18:30 I was told that it's too late to fix an AC.
My mistake was keeping cash in my bag instead of the locker. But how there's no security check on anybody accessing the room beside the guest?
I have no issues with any other facilities in the room. Everything was fine except for the security mishap, which I encountered.
Response to Hotel Management's comment :
1- I don't have any theft insurance coverage. No Insurance company will honor a claim without valid police report.
2- Statement had always been same that 800 were missing, 500 first and then 300. I can attach the photo of the note which I dropped at your reception.
3- I didn't force your receptionist, I requested to talk to your female receptionist since she was the one who onboarded me and was my first person of contact. If you request, I can provide Screenshot of my msg to her where I apologies for contacting late night before even starting a conversation.
4- in my review above, I have raised a security concern. I have already mentioned above that you have checked CCTV and accessed logs and performed your part. Also, I have admitted my mistake of not using Locker.
5- it's not sensible to fly from UAE to CZ for 800 euro by...
Read moreOREA Place Seno was a hybrid between an apartment and a hotel, and met the perfect balance for us. This meant our rooms had plenty of space and lighting options, along with cooking utensils and an oven etc, whilst still having hotel perks like breakfast.
We stayed here for 4 nights, and the breakfast was one of the highlights of every day! It is served in the restaurant next door via the doors in the courtyard, and contains great variety. This includes cooked items (bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, beans) alongside Czech food (pancakes, various pastries), and basic salad, cereal, and bread offerings too. The staff were excellent, proactively tidying up, restocking items, pouring coffee etc.
As we were there over Christmas, we suspected breakfast wouldn't be served on the 24th or 25th. The opposite happened! Champagne was offered, and presents were even given to any children staying there. An extra touch that was really appreciated.
The apartments also have access to a washing & drying machine in the complex. I used this twice during our stay, and it was fine, just two typical machines. Reception provide free washing pods though, avoiding the hassle of buying a whole multipack for a single wash!
That reception (and washing facilities) are available 24 hours a day, with helpful staff always present. They always went above and beyond to solve problems, such as guiding me to the washing machine, offering tips on the local area, etc. All visitors must go through the keycard protected staffed reception, ensuring the area always feels very safe.
Finally, the location is excellent, being near both the station and the city centre mere minutes from a large mall. It provided an excellent "staging post" for our daily trips out, and I'd definitely...
Read moreWe greatly appreciated our stay at Orea Place Seno; it definitely enhanced our Prague trip experience. If you are looking for a place that is modernly decorated, clean, spacious, has everything you need for an extended stay with helpful and hospitable staff, then Orea Place Seno is it! It will exceed your expectations.
A few highlights...the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The check in process will be a little longer because the staff (the one who checked us in was Matthew and he was amazing!) will walk you through the city map of Prague and provide you helpful tips about exploring the city. They definitely go above and beyond and make you feel welcomed right away.
The rooms are thoughtfully decorated, very clean and most importantly, they are spacious! We looked into many many places to stay in Prague and yes, there are other great places to stay, however, most hotel rooms are actually very small. If you look into the room size details of other places, you will realize how small the rooms are, which is fine for a short period stay, but if you plan to stay any longer than 2 nights; a spacious room is always more pleasant and comfortable. We really liked our room at Orea Place Seno...it had everything we need. If there is any improvement feedback, I would say the bathroom counter was small and you can barely place anything on top of it. But it still worked out fine because you can always put your personal items in the counter drawers.
All in all, Orea Place Seno is a solid choice! Besides all the positives above, the location of it is great as well....
