Kogo Slovanský Dům — Restaurant in Prague

I do NOT recommend. I give 3 stars only because of delicious food and the place itself otherwise i would give 0. Service over the years got worsen that significantly, I'm thinking to not to visit this place ever anymore. When there used to be Italians or capable Czech waiters it was fantastic but since they started to hire people who have lack.of knowledge about the food and being rude and not being aware of what customer service even is, it's just overpriced unpleasant experience. Last time we visited it in August and i never experienced in my life such bad attitude from the waiter (for no reason because we were not impolite to him). I had to even write them official complaint, unfortunately management is probably not working either as they should because i even didnt receive any notification they took that into consideration. Our Czech waiter with longer hair was rude since beginning, he didn't know anything about serving and Italian standards and it took him ages to deliver all courses we wanted even though restaurant was half empty at that time and there were more waiters. As a cherry on the top of the cake, he left us with bill and comment "calculate " when we asked for split between us 3. Its a pity but highly likely with this, Kogo lost three...

We are regular Kogo restaurant customers with my husband and never had any problems, we always come back. But yesterday was a disaster. Considering we had only 10 min for ordering our food(the kitchen was about to close soon) it wasn't a problem for us because we knew what to order and we chose our food and drinks promptly. However, we were treated with some members of the staff in unnecessarily rush, presentation of the food was poor, considering high quality restaurant. And when we finished the food, the waiter left us sitting over an empty dirty plate for some time, even passing by and checking our table, no questions whether we had finished or not. Then it took a couple of more moments for him to come and take away the plates, like they suddenly weren't in a rush to close. Even more, we sat at a table with broken and ripped table cloth. On the top of that we left the restaurant unattended with nobody saying goodbye to us or so....Also, I did not like the fact we had to sit in the restaurant in jackets, because they left the windows opened late in the evening due to warm weather conditions earlier that day. I was very disappointed with my last visit and not sure whether we go...

Summary - This resturant is not worth its price to my opinion!!! There are better value for money resturants.. Especially with similar prices

The long story: We went to celebrate a bday. Table for two. The starters are overpriced and are very basic... Shrimps tampura - felt like it not different from fast food one that cost a lot Tenderloin Tartar - was under seasoned and boring

Main courses took more then 25 minutes to arrive!!

T-Bone 1.2 kg - The meat was good, nothing exciting. Also we asked for medium and it was not - Half was mw and the other mr. Foie gras - very basic.. The chips were totally burnt. General: We asked the waiter for one puree and he gave us two disappeared before we can send back one and in the bill there were two portions for payment ... Plus it was too salty and felt not fresh. The cocktails are ok.. Nothing special but their price... Expensive. The coffee is horrible and we skipped desert. Go...
