Cute Boutique in a great location

Dont be misled by poor pictures on the OTA websites or online, this smaller hotel punches way above its weight. For the price you pay , in a city known to be SUPER Expensive - you get a lot more than what you might expect. Absolute Value for money

LOCATION: Excellent location very close to the Central Train station. It took us just 30 minutes door to door from the Airport. And it is a stone's throw away from all the cool bars and restaurants of the meat-packing district

DINE + DRINK: Didnt have the chance to dine or drink at the hotel, so dont know much about the quality or scope.

ROOM: We stayed in 622, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Random view of courtyard; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: No Air con but only heater provided; BED: The same problem we have been facing in all Nordic hotels- Super small beds and 2 separate beds that made it very difficult to sleep as a couple and kept waking up multiple times fearing the separation of the beds and falling down! This was a big downside; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Lovely SPA quality cosmetics by REN brand

FACILITIES: No Gym or Pool, city based chill. But they do provide a Gym voucher for a nearby fitness center at 75 DKK.

SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile and made us feel at home.

HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Big Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in...

Booked the annex for a few nights whilst we explored the city of Copenhagen.

The entrance to the Annex is through the Absalon Hotel where the reception staff were always so friendly and helpful. You can then check in digitally. When we checked in we found our room was a double however we were expecting a twin, and we were very quickly upgraded and actually ended up in a triple room.

The room itself was clean and had a sink with handwash, places to hang clothes, a TV, towels and two large windows. We were very impressed. The room also came with instructions for free WiFi and you can also claim a 100dk for the Absalon bar.

The shared bathrooms and showers were just down the corridor and consist of single toilets with sinks and single showers so you still have plenty of privacy. The showers had shampoo, conditioner and bodywash and the toilets always had toilet roll and clean hand towels.

Downstairs the Annex also has a kitchen with lots of utensils and means to make food. And also a kettle. There was also a lounge area with a pool table. The reception could also provide hairdryers.

The location of the Annex is very good, close to shops, restaurants and the Metro. We visited so much of the city by mainly walking , hopping on the Metro if we needed a break!

The only downfall to the room was it was quite noisy when people were walking through the corridor. But it didn't bother us too much. It would also be nice to have a kettle and mugs...

First time in Copenhagen and first time using a hostel with family. No worries as they love it, the hostel seems to be newly renovated and is clean and bright. Toilet/shower spotless with hair wash and conditioner supplied (actually whole hostel is spotless). Water still hot at 9:30am after a lot of shower use, have been in upmarket hotels that struggled to maintain hot water.

Was surprised that the room was cleaned each day with fresh bedding and towels.

Great location, buy the Copenhagen Discover card and it is super easy to get around, Metro/rail station within 5 minutes.

We stayed for 3 nights on the first floor, we were not disturbed by neighbouring rooms as some said in reviews, yes the street is noisy with windows open, but when closed street noise vastly reduced. As it was warm when we stayed we had windows open (no air con) and still had a good night sleep.

Nicely decorated ground floor reception and bar, comfortable seating and good range of beer/wine/coffee, also seating outside.

The basement has a well equipped kitchen, pool table, games area on the left of the stairs and on the right of the stairs there are more toilets/showers and I came across another fridge freezer in addition to the kitchen.

Would have no hesitation booking again when we return...

Location is great, central to everything and very close to the main station, restaurants, bars, town centre, harbour. Rooms are well renovated, clean, tidy with very comfy beds. Wasn’t sure what to expect with having shared bathroom amenities but they are kept very clean and well stocked with toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. All residents during my stay have been courteous with use of the bathrooms. Negatives - need a couple of shelves, one by the sink in the bedroom and one near the open style wardrobe. As it’s difficult to store your toothbrush etc. No hairdryer in room, feel discriminated as if you are a hotel resident, you have one in the room. When asked at reception to hire a hairdryer, I wasn’t eligible as I wasn’t in the hotel section. There is also a promotion in reception offering a discount if you don’t want your room serviced but this is not eligible for those staying at the Annex. I admit it is difficult as the bathroom amenities need to be serviced with them being shared. However there could be something as the towels and beds don’t need to be made everyday. On a positive the staff are very helpful with advise and recommendations. The house keeping is also faultless.

This hotel has management issue with Agoda. I did my reservation through Agoda with specific request of private bathroom. When the time I entered the room, was shocked that it’s shared bathroom facilities. I immediately went to reception to enquire, which they claimed this is false advertisement from Agoda, the amount I paid was only entitled for shared facilities, and they requested me to upgrade the room, with extra money of course. Ultimately, it’s a known issue to them, but the mistake was just ongoing, without any action. When things happen, they were just blaming the customers as booking through a third party (Agoda, and Agoda booked through another agent?) and not directly from the hotel website. Hence they can’t do anything to solve the issue, nor the refund as the paid amount “is not with them”. So seems like the hotel is playing cheat to get customers over and yet leave them no choice but to pay extra to upgrade. The staff is polite throughout the conversation (probably very experience in handling such scenario already), but unable to offer real help to a solo traveler.
